Robin is returning to his roots. Singing Neo-Soul music like his voice was made for. I like his new sound, but nothing beats the original musical styling of Robin Thicke. Also for the people who call him a Maxwell rip-off, Maxwell (One of My favorite artists) has a more Smooth Jazz and Big Band with lots of Bass sound in comparison to Robin Thicke's usually smooth piano, pads, and vocal styling. They do have similarities in their vocal dynamics, however this is just because both artists have beautiful range and very controlled falsettos (Though Maxwell has a higher Falsetto than Robin who has a lower vocal register.). This song was made to order , showcasing the smoothness and control of Robin's voice.
I love this song and I truly hope Robin has learned his lesson and he and his wife can work things out. They make a beautiful family and I wish them all the best.
