This is so well done wtf! As a nigerian irish woman, I was often called a lot of nasty names and made fun of cuz of my 4c hair. Didn’t realize they were racially motivated until I got to secondary school. Its nice to see people speaking up about this but also sad that we all have similar experiences ❤️‍🩹

Jokes about racism are okay, it just really depends on who it is, who's comfortable, and what the other persons race is.
For example : if I start making racist jokes with my other black friends and they're joking along, then there's really no problem with it. But I don't think you should do it in front of non black people.. As it influences them to do it whether black or not.
But also, if you're making racist jokes to another black person and they're uncomfortable with it, then you shouldn't be doing it.

When I was 13, I had trouble making friends because everyone hated me cuz im different..a lot of boys say to me that I should be me feminine and quiet and smart..even though I try my best,
This girl hated my guts really badly I was talking to her friends because we were talking about our country and out of know where
"GO back to your country" we all looked at each other than at her
"You have a poor country, you always say how much you want to go there so leave"
Everyone was quiet it was the fact that we were all black and the girl who said that was Indian so I was really shocked, and I find this real funny because everyone talks bad about her 😅..and yeah that's it..for know😭🙆🏾‍♀️

I am white and dutch and this month we are celebrating Ketikoti (= Chains broken) and listening to stories of those who suffered before the 1st of July 1863 (before slavery was officially abolished within the Dutch Kingdom). Every day when I look at friend's faces, I am reminded of the blatant rasism that still lingers in my country, especially among older generations. That's why it's so so important that stories like these get shared and reach wider audiences. As painful as it was to hear, you're right. Rasism will always linger, but that's why I want to thank you for how well this video was put together. It honestly brought me to tears and I believe that that's exactly why these types of videos are so important. Thank you for sharing your stories and for informing us all. Let's work together to make this world a better place, one with love and mutual respect for one another, where black individuals feel safe and heard!

-You are valid no matter what.
-If people judge you for your skin color, gender identity, religion, sexuality or any other thing then that's your clue there that those people are not worth your time.
-Don't let people's words get to you. I know it's hard, sometimes words hurt more than stones, but you are strong. You can face any challenge life throws at you.
-please make an effort to be nice and open to anyone. It won't change the world but the little things are what matters the most. Trust me, your effort will be much appreciated.

When I was in 7th grade my teacher locked me in his classroom and pulled on my braids. One time my parents went on a three week trip and so I would go downstairs to go to my room so I could go to bed and these three kids who bullied me would sometimes shoot BB gun bullets at my window or at my dog. I remember a couple nights i had to sleep in my closet. I was even physically assaulted multiple times and when my parents finally found out they told the boys mother and she said she was aware and encouraged it. She said it was my fault for being
“black and scary”. I will now live the rest of my life with PTSD and permanent marks on my body from that year. am adopted and have white parents so they didn’t/don’t understand what I went through. We moved away but that was definitely the hardest year of my life. And the bullying didn’t stop there, they stalked my socials when I moved, covered my stuff in the n-word and onetime they even wrote it on my paper. I was bullied for not knowing my family tree. Another time we did a spirit animal game and people submitted monkey and raccoon.

I’m black and I had to deal with racism multiple times. I remember this one time, me and my mom got segregated (yes segregated and this was like a few years ago like before quarantine) in a restaurant. We were going to a graduation party. And coincidentally there was a party in the back (with all black guests) and a party in the front (with all white guests) me and mom were invited to the party w/ the white guests(graduation party) when we were heading to the front, a white employee at the restaurant stopped us from going to the party we were invited to and said we were to join the party with the black guests even though my mother told the lady we were going to the graduation party (with the white guests obviously) because that’s the one we were invited to. So funny part coming up: when the white lady employee wasn’t looking we (me and my mom) had to SNEAK INTO the party we were invited to and thankfully didn’t get caught by her(the lady who literally segregated the restaurant.) Like I said before me and my mom had to deal w/ racism before. In fact, we’ve dealt w/ racism 3-4 times in our lives so far.😅 anyway sorry I wrote this whole book. Hope you’re having a blessed day/night 💕🙏🏾

It always happens when a black person gets bullied or bothered. When I was TEN, ONLY TEN, at school, I heard some mexican kids say the n word and call and call my friend a shadow. Thats when I snapped and said, "You cant say that". That's when one of the kids called me the n word. That day when I went home I kept it to myself because I didn't want my parents to get involved, I regret not telling them. Then also later that year, one of my white friends said, " wassup my-" n word. The way I said, "Don't ever say that to me" was insane. I would like to see what message you'll send to the Haïtian community. It's ok if you don't, and I'm sorry if that request end up bothering you. It's just, we face a lot of discrimination (not saying that others facing it aren't as important as ours), from our home country, our country neighbor, and internationally. Discrimination against race, languages, religion, social status, and more. I mostly see people saying that we're dead, our country is a warzone, make fun of us for what our country has become today when we were the first black independent country. And that hurt most us when we heard that and we can't say anything because some of it is true.

As an nigerian girl. Thank you for this video! i have been looking for this video ever since. My school had 5% of black kids. Sadly i was the only black kid in my class. One kid threated to say the n word to me. I also noticed that when i got close to someone that wasnt the same skin color has me , they would ever scoot away from me like i was a germ or they would give me the stink eye and move away from me. Alot of the kids in class said alot of rasict things so they would try to get a reaction out of me. Which it didn't. I have never felt so useless in my class. Even though my homeroom teacher ALWAYS treated me with alot more respect then the other kids in my class... People were still rasict to me. That was also another reason i am very anti-social. Alot of kids that are either white or a diff race then black they never want to play with me and play with diff kids instead. I'm happy that holidays like Black history month or Juneteeth are hoildays i can celebrate with my family. I wish in this world people weren't rasict or slavery never existed. I enjoyed listening to this video because this teaches rasict people to stop. Thank you and i hope this story was understandable in the best way possible :) BLM✊🏾✊🏾✊🏽

This is very well done. as a Black and Indian person , I am very thankful for this video, because onetime in 5th grade, I was eating lunch and talking to a friend. and then someone was singing "we have to celebrate our differences" to me. I was very hurt, as people started calling me monkey.
another time was I was in P.E and my stomach was hurting so I got a pass to go to the nurse. then there was a class of 5th graders. one called me a "Monkey" and they all started laughing. I just ran back to class.
another was in 6th grade when I was reading a book, and a person started pulling my hair, and started saying "slave! do my work! cook!" and more. like "pull my cotton." and the fact this person was white was worse.
lastly, when someone pulled my braids again in 6th grade. braids really tend to hurt especially after YOU got them did. it makes your head feel sensitive.
I told the teacher but they didn't care.
I hope it's okay im sharing this.
but I swear, history is repeating when it comes to racism..

    I’m white.
When I was 11, I heard a kid singing a song with the N-word in it very loudly on the monkey bars. He was white and about 7-8 years old.
The teacher heard it, and did nothing. She didn’t try to correct him or tell him it was wrong to say. She just.. stood there. Silently.

i am speaking as a mexican. so many 'fake racists' (popular youtubers who make dark humour a.k.a racist jokes for recognition and laughs) think they are in the right but they r in the wrong. all of us go through racism:
    white
    black
    mixed
    asian (including indian)
    hispanic/latino/a
EVERY single one of us r capable of going through racism but what ive noticed over my past years was that there is this specific race that stood out to me, this specific race that i felt an extremely special connection to, this specific race that i noticed went through a lot more, done and imagined, than any other, and that is the Black Community.
This is the SAME race that has carried on many stereotypes on their name for way too long and this horrid thing needs to be explained. I am deeply sorry to all people who went through racism, im deeply sorry for my Mexican Community, but more importantly, im deeply sorry for the Black Community. I've always felt comfortable and safe with the Black Community. I love you guys!!! 🖤🤎🧡

As someone with a significantly lighter color I could never relate to what they are going through but at the same time I feel them I feel their pain, I hate racism so so much that sometimes I hate my own skin color because of it. And I hate seeing these beautiful people get hurt in the world. And the fact that they are spreading it on their kids? Yes there can be criminals of all race but some parents mainly focus on darker skin color so these kids are growing up thinking all of them are bad or they did something wrong or anything else bad. Kids don’t know any better that’s why a parent is there to teach them what is better and to choose friendship over violence. If you are of any darker skin color I’m sorry for what you have to go through and I want you to become someone great to continue to prove them wrong and I said continue for a reason. You prove them wrong by knowing what’s right. I love you guys don’t stress okay? 🫶🏻

Thank you so much for this video. I remember once I was in school(I've finished school now) and one of my classmates was racing me to our next class, kind of? And I got there first, but she wasn't angry or anything she was just In a silly mood and then not knowing she called me a monkey.. this is what she said 'hey get back here you monkey' I gasped because I was surprised, but I didn't get angry because she didn't say It in a rude way she said it in more of a silly way like she didn't know that she can't call me a monkey, I was telling her how she can't call me that and she looked so confused and then the rest of the class came and I told them that she called me a monkey. And then later on the teacher got us all in a circle while another teacher was explaining to her how she can't call me a monkey and blah blah blah, and when I got home I explained it to my mum and she got so angry. And I understand why but I was explaining to her that the way she said that sentence it wasn't meaningful she just didn't know but my mum didn't care she kept getting more angry at me and saying things like 'how can she not know?' And just sat there listening cause no matter what I say she wouldn't change her mind, and now writing this I understood that she really didn't mean it😕 but you know what's funny? I think one year later? One of her friends(boy) he said the N word, and a black girl who was passing by heard it, and she obviously confronted him about it, but he didn't give a f*ck, and instead of correcting him, She backed him up, and then later on in the day she was crying saying that she wasn't racist. Idk what to say about that but I'm not happy that she defended her friend, I mean yes it's your friend but when your friend says or does something bad you shouldn't back them up because they are the one's in the wrong. Anyway the reason why I know about this is because everyone in school was talking about it but they mixed up the story saying that the boy actually called the Black girl the N word, and then I went up to her to see if she was ok and that's when she explained the whole thing. Just like the video said Racism will always repeat...Just don't be afraid to stand up for yourself and remember you are not the one in the wrong THEY ARE. Thanks for reading my story have a nice day.

before knowing what racism is, when i saw a person with the black skin for the first time ( in the internet ) my first reaction was "MY GOD WHAT??
    MASHALLAH SHE LOOKS SO PRETTY"
i remember seeing them and immediate think was hot, pretty, and beautiful. when i find out what racism was. i felt so shock. i also actually kinda remember one of my teacher was talking about how people treat them and we shouldn't treat them like that, we should respect them and i told her that why people do that i find them so pretty. i don't remember what she said i think she told me that some people just treat like that i don't remember her answer but i'm still questioning why racism exists. i don't know anything about the history of black people but i actually really really hope that some day, racism ends and people start respecting them more. Reminder to the blm community. It is important to stand up with your community and protest. But as a community you need to talk about the distruction of people who are your community hurting others from the community…there was a shooting of a uncle and a niece both the same race same with the shooter no one batted an eye…as well as protecting and protesting other types of racism within and out of the community. If people disagree with blm it isn’t the fact they hate different people or groups it is because of the extremists that take it to far or because they believe the protest should have been on the person and not a whole work career. Please respect others opinions as long as they are respectful twards you. ❤❤

The sad thing is I experienced for the first time on my birthday party :(
So it was my tenth birthday party and me and my friends had the best time ever at the venue we went to and we decided to play dodgeball and we had fun and all but ( I can’t explain it in words because I don’t know how it started) but this black girl and a white girl was making fun of someone I think.. and my friend stood up for the person ( again I’m not sure what happened) and she said “ that was not nice guys “ and SO quickly they both say “ it’s none of your business “ and I’m just watching like 👀 thinking how rude those girls were but I kept quiet cause my friend wasn’t sad after they said it then my other friend ( friend 2 ) gets hit by a ball because
Because one of those girls hit her and she’s sobbing so badly ( and btw someone else got hit by them and by someone else) ( she cried too ) then I go to them saying to them it’s not okay and the white girl starts mimicking me I got really angry and raised my voice she started laughing and talking to her black friend about this and she just sat there like there’s nothing wrong I started to cry mind you my sister was there I tell her the whole story then the mom started to point fingers at me ( remember it was my BIRTHDAY party ) [ then more stuff happened but it was just fighting so skip that ) then almost everyone was sobbing it was like 99% of people were crying and was mad I called my mom to pick us up with the party bus then we go back home ( from there it was fun and we had delicious food). But I still feel really bad cuz everyone cried and unfortunately my friends are going to remember my chaos of a birthday party :

As a black person. In 6th grade I went to a school with a lot of Hispanic people. They constantly said the n-word in every sentence they could put it in. I’ve experienced someone call me the n-word right to my face without even laughing. In kindergarten I was trying to be friends with a girl and I got told she didn’t want to be my friend or play with me. When my friend finally got her to tell. She whispered in my friend’s ear “because she’s black”. A lot of people don’t understand how hurtful words can be. Thank you for spreading awareness and this message!!

When I see Muslims for the first time, I was full of curiosity and wanted to learn about their cultures and traditions. Which is why I want to learn about cultures and traditions from other countries to give my love and appreciation for them.
When I see 'black people' for the first time, I see them as unique human beings with skin colors that are beautiful in every shade, and hair that can turn into infinite styles.
I always thought that Black VS White never exists, because all lives matter and that our world is beautiful because of all races of humanity.
Diversity makes our world go around, yet there will always be racially bigoted people, who are mentally blind to see the true reality.

for me, as a 9yo, the first racism experience I had was this year at school. It mostly started when kids at my class started pressuring me to say the N word, (Im African, French Canadian, Italian, and German.) And when I was arguing with my peers, they always responded with “it’s cuz ur black.” My best friend insisted on telling the teacher, I didn’t because I always feared talking about my feelings with people, (I’m very antisocial, and its a problem because my family keeps on telling me to talk to someone about it, and that I’m isolating myself and that I could start gaining depression) then it was throughout the whole year from that, people saying the word, or like saying ni- and not finishing it. Then at the end of the year, it was like we were picking food or smth, and then a kid in my class was like, “is that the one that looks most like fried chicken to you?” And other racist stuff. And I just laughed with them even though I was really hurt from it. Again, I can’t talk to any teacher about it because its either I’m to scared, or they don’t do anything about it.

And this is exactly i make black aus or ocs more, every color matters to us people. Let me tell you this, one time i had a friend back then in my middle school, and she's so nice to me. Until then, in high school, she got immediately disrespectful and mean. She won't even talk. Then when i talked to one of her friends to ask and say if she's racist, they said she is. I was shocked, then when i got back to school as a junior. I asked my friends where's the girl that was bullying me, wasn't talking to me. One of her friends said...
    "She got expelled"
I ask why then they said.
"She got expelled for being racist, they were yelling at a black boy and said stuff of what a black person would say. She was about to fight him but thank god the police got her arrested."
They're not playing with racismn in my school.
And that's why you need to be careful of what you said and do to black people, cause it can get you into serious situations, to the point that we all have to care about it.

I'm not black irl but for the internet part, its sadly true. On roblox there's a game called total roblox drama that basically is a game version of the show total drama island on Netflix. For each season of the show there's more characters. You get a random character unless you choose to buy a character. I thought a character named Nishele (idk her name in the show) was very pretty so I chose her. She is a black girl with dirty blonde braids. I made it through the game without getting voted out until there was only three people left. Me, Stacy, and I don't remember the last person. While we were at the campfire, I asked "who are we gonna vote?" they both said "you" I asked why. They said "because you're black". I was very mad because of that racism.

They once asked my type in guys(which I don't necessarily say since it's haram for Muslims to date and I've never actually felt attraction towards anyone)
And I said I like short boys with a good personality and they looked at me and said "They aren't attractive at all" they even called me a slut just because I went to swimming classes☹️
I had some ex-friends who were a bit racist towards each other, my cousin would constantly say the N word and he's just 12,no matter how much I tell him to stop he doesn't.... Sometimes when he pisses me off a bit too much I would fight him but he never changed
It's sad how society normalizes racism, misogyny, gender wars and more.... I hate it... The world is revolving backwards and there's nothing we can do to make it stop...

its messed up how older generations give bad influence for young kids that they would think being racist is funny and even go as far as saying the no no word to a black person.

As a young Brazilian teen, I just want to say thank you for spreading awareness. ❤ I’m not black, I’m Latina, but racism is such a horrible horrible thing, and I don’t know why we are still normalizing it, whether it comes from others being rude to black, white, European, Hispanics or Latinos, it’s everywhere. I really don’t understand why people decide to be rude to others because of something they cannot change or they did not decide. I hope one day everyone decides to change, or more people, because as said in the video, racism will never go away, but we can all choose to be kind. We have to make a difference, and everyone can start now! I hope you have a wonderful day, I really loved this video. ❤

I swear some people are so petty im an hatian American, woman and im diagnosed with adhd and asthma, but as a kid i had this bully who was a perv towards me and the other students, i was always disgusted by him he would pretend to take pictures of our buts and i couldn't take it anymore but i did nothing, one day i came home looking sad to my grandma and my mother why? I was called the n word by him he didnt wven care but lie when i told cuz i sick of him he said that he said nature where did u get nature from? If i heard the n word clear he never said nature so i hit him with the comfty chair that was a bing bag chair then i told the teacher, that teacher always adored him so when i told her what happened it was in front of the class and the class belived me but not the teacher so she sent us both to the principal office, i got an apology later but still thats racism towards me...

For me, I come from a black and Spanish family however I am passing, so when I shared some of my experiences & culture to my friends one kid in my class said to my face, “Well you don’t look black, ya know you don’t sound & act or dress black” and how much I hated being passing was soul crushing for me

At this point, i just feel upset for their stories. It really does hurt to be a victim. Even though i never experienced it first hand, i know how it can be hurtful. I remember when i said that word when i was so angry at my two friends who were harassing and saw how it affected them. I started to make sure to be more respectful with those around me. I really want to know their socials so that way I can help support them, because it must be difficult to deal this much

Sadly this happens a lot, I remember when I was in preschool when I first faced racism and it only got worse as I grew older, I don't care what the color of your skin is racism is not ok, you making this video makes me proud cause I know I'm not the only one facing this problem, Racism leaves emotional scars and it is not ok, thank you for making this video it gives me hope in humanity to know that there are people like you in this world.

I never understood why people judge other people for something that they can't control!
Plus being black is beautiful, being white is beautiful, being mixed, etc. All races are beautiful!!
I seriously hope one day I could live my life not being judged for having darker skin.
I'm sorry for any racial experiences anyone was had in their life💔

Thank you for making this. We need more kind hearted people like you to make this aware.❤
I experienced racism in school, from elementary to high school. A girl, let call her Kate(not her real name) will always pick on me, due to me having autism and Asperger’s. These disorders are what makes it hard for me to socialize with other people in the real world. So she will call me retarded or the n word. It would make me cry back then, and it nearly went physical on my high school grounds. But I had good friends who stood by my side and helped me while she was left alone with maybe one or two so called friends. I saw her again after our high school graduation in 2019 with a child and another one on the way in 2022. I kinda feel bad, but I did give her a $20 to get herself back up on her feet..I am a kind soul.. I will never have envy on anyone, not even my own enemies..

People tell stories about history to make sure it won’t be repeated. But here we are with racism. It needs to stop and many want it to, but we know it’s not going to. It’s unacceptable for people to act this way. I’ve been called many things that I found offensive but I knew if I didn’t anything I would be the one who got in trouble. It hurts knowing that racism will be a never ending cycle…

As a dark-skinned person myself. The thing I find most heartbreaking about this video is that Aaron is right? No matter how much we try and no matter how much of the world has advanced, there will always still be racism. No matter where you go, no matter who it's from. Black people cannot escape it. We can only stand to fight against it.✊🏿😔
