I think you did the right thing. I don't think your novel project will go anywhere, but it's unlikely that your job mattered either. At least now you are following your dream.
Hi Allie, how you doing? So you shared your fears with us, but sometimes even when we say them out loud we don't realize they are just fears, you have to share the story with us because this is what you are being called to, we are more than just money, we need to do things that make us feel good and seeing your work done will make you feel proud and that matters. Do your job to the best of your ability, have a marketing strategy, think (don't overthink it) but think about who might read your book who might help spread the word about it online and try to reach out to them, creativity can be a great tool to get it out there, do everything in your power to bring your idea to the world like a baby because when we give it our all, beautiful things come from it, we always get something out of that kind of experience and when harvest time comes, you look at it and then think about what might come next, what's the next book about? it is important to show consistency your career as a writer is about your body of work, one book will not determine your career, there is no reason to be afraid unless you are going through basic hardships because of money but you will always have your expertise to help you with that. I am telling you all this because this is what I tell myself, I am an animator, I left the design agency over a year ago so I could write my book and paint , I also struggle with the uncertainty of it all. Believe in yourself, keep your money safe and remember that this is like a garden, it will take time, you need to have faith that you can work on something for years without seeing results, but you will. I started taking care of plants when I started writing my book and now I can see that both are growing together. I hope to read your book one day :)
@@Lamarce__ thank you so so much for sharing your story and advice. I really appreciate it. That’s amazing that you’re also following your dream! Don’t give up! I feel like it is important to remember what my book is about and what I am trying to say, and that message really drives me as I’m sure it drives you with your story. I love your garden analogy too. That’s very much how I feel about this process, like I’m planting all these seeds but not seeing any growth, but I know someday I will and hopefully you will too!
