i ran acoustic contrabass through wunderlich, its amazing how it brings out the detail on contrabass without muddying the low end, wunderlich to P42 is now fixed on my acoutic bass channel

@@KYTHERAOfficial Well, I'm kinda obsessed with compressors, saturators and so-called "mojo boxes" plugins. I test as many as I can, so I'm comparing what I'm seeing and hearing here with my personal experience with similar plugins.
Simply put, this one has a good amount of controls to shape your sound without being overwhelming and unnecessarily complicated, and to me the tone-shaping sweetness it can generate is fairly well showcased in the examples in this video; you can clearly hear the richness of the tones and the malleability of the plugin.
If you want a more technical explanation, I can't give you one. Even though I did one semester of Systems Analysis and Development at university, DSP wasn't the scope of the course.

@@TheRetroBassist same thing happened to me yesterday. Well youtube is just a small little platform, maybe they cant afford paying people to fix bugs in the app that have been there for ages.. its just a few people and maybe they have very little money right now who knows...

UADs fairchild absolutely blows waves away. This also does wonderful, and a lot easier on the pocket. Im tempted to make the buy cause it is different for sure, but gives that same kinda feel
@@Illiyinmusic I tried UAD Spark for 3 months for 99c. I've since bought their Fairchild, Pultec, Space Echo, Pure Plate and I'm planning on getting their SSL bundle. UAD is honestly superior quality 🔥

Wow, wow, and wow. I had a chance to try this out today and it sounds fantastic. NEOLD brings a ton of value to PA subscription! "Travel" will take the edge off of any harsh VST with a simple turn of that little screw... Lovely saturation in this thing, and I like the compressor too. This is a hit!

High and low could be adjusted. Would it kill to include the mid band ?
Why would you need to boost the mid when you have subtractive control of the lows and high shelving filters, it’s not an eq

@@ghettothic Ive been wanting to get it for the price. It stayed in bypass when i was using the demo...and wasnt amazed by it to be worth even opening it again. its just why not add a few more for 15 bucks to dick around with. id say get the fairchild next month when uad does their black friday

@PluginAllianceTV I get that, I own many, many PGA plug-ins but as a full-time professional I would like to know if it can operate as dual mono or it's useless to me. Thanks.
@@EdPettersen there is a mono version of the plugin .If you want to use it in dual mono just load the multi mono version and unlink . just tried it on Pro Tools and it works

Is this real?
Nothing special that wasn't invented before in other plugins. A few years later similar plugins will be released and they will also state that they are something ground breaking or revolutionary.
yeah can get the "time" with a saturator that has a high and low pass in it. Decapitator for instance, but i liked it better. This is just cheap right now, and might have it just incase maybe one day ill test it on something ill really like.. but fairchild decapitator combo is great. Much prefer great plugins of classic proven hardware that UAD offers vs this stuff if im really going for something. All this "new" stuff can serve a purpose with something though in a mix i guess
