I have both a firm belief that our political system is broken, and a firm belief that for a parliamentary democracy to work you need a strong opposition. I believe the two options for a true opposition to a big Labour majority are Reform and Green (The rest are too similar to Starmer's Labour) and in my opinion the greens are Economically illiterate to the point of delusion, so that rules them out for me. Also, while I in no way believe immigration is as bad for us as Farage thinks it is, the fact he is the only one who is brave enough to say that the population increase is unsustainable (which in my opinion, it is) is worrying. Kind of a 50/50 Policy/Protest vote. I wouldn't want him to be PM, but I believe Farage would be a fantastic LOTO.
I understand your point and will vote green for similar reasons (Libdems do not make sense where I live). I do not see immigration as a problem. The problem lies in how tories have dealt with it. Also, the tories could have levelled up and solved the housing crisis in one fell swoop: there is a lott of empty housing which could be rehabilitated in deprived areas. Creating jobs in these areas and repairing the housing stock would not have been easy or sexy, but it would have been efficient.
