It's great to see a father and son "working" and learning together. So many men have 9-5 jobs and don't have enough time to communicate and teach their children. Thanks for another look at your daily life. It's hard to find time for anything when you run a farm. When you get time your too tired to do anything. See you.

How true! Hubby, now 80, remembers people taking the time to patiently show him things when he was 4 or 5. He grew up loving to learn how to make things, and there is literally nothing that he cannot do. Those little ones take their cues from those who show them things, and it pays off!

Please consider the successes you are having when you feel like everything seems to take so much time. Over the time I’ve watched your grazing and rotation of the fields appears to be improving them, you see it. It’s the same with your projects, I envy you your root cellar and that you had the courage to just build it, I’m still agonizing over mine. Your summers are so busy and short you need to cut yourself some slack and give yourself a dose of grace.
Everyday you are one step closer to a goal. Most of all I love what you are teaching your son, that is eternal and you cannot put a price on it.

I still wish I could do more as a way to express not only gratitude but how much you videos mean to me and make a difference in my life. There is so much more I would like to say but I lost most of the use of my hands making it very difficult to type. I hope I am not out of line asking you for anything but I'm going to take a chance.....you are all so busy and work so hard but I'm wondering if you might be able to make a swing for Ivar? Just throw some rope over a tree branch with a plank for a seat, or even an old tire! It is so lovely watching him grow up and he's growing so fast! A swing might also keep him busy while you need more time to focus on other things. Much love from Teri in Saline, Michigan USA

Here in the US we do not take the time to teach our children much & our schools certainly do not teach them the basics of life either. The beginnings of your house looks fantastic. I know it's all taking longer than you'd like, but it will be magnificent when you're done. Insulate well, and it will be so cozy, yet feel like so much more space.

Learning to live alongside nature is hard and sometimes brutal, having little real life sills makes it much harder, this is my message to all who wish to leave modernity behind, eventually you will come to rely upon the on grid paradigm for what we cannot create in house; A much better way would be to work together for a common need, not run away to the hills by design and hoe others will fend for you.

Your struggles may be real, but they are no match for your perserverence. I believe you enjoy learning as you go even though it it difficult. Keep up the good work. Mike from North Carolina USA 🇺🇸

That area at the top of the slope also will lose it's water more readily. Unfortunately, you cannot stop gravity, unless you do something to recycle water to the top etc. You might be able to have them polish out the distortion also on your lense.
