Thank you Jeremy for filming the process, you saved me time and frustration. I just removed mine on my 19 4Runner. I plan to build the same base platform you showed in your other video.
Hi there! I have a 5th gen sr5 with the third row. Part of the 2nd row sits on a track so it can slide forward. Any idea or tips on how to remove? Thanks!
So this is what’s going on. I was moving a box that was thin but kinda long and when I put it in the trunk I had to put one side of it on on the headrest and one of the plastic that holds the headrest metal bars broke. I spoke to a tech and he said the back panel needs to come off and then replace the piece which is $9. However Lexus will charge me something like $300 to that. I want to know if anyone has removed that plastic panel which is in the back of the rear seat(2nd row). Thanks
No music. No intro. No long philosophical discussion on the “Overland Lifestyle”. Just the info I needed to get it done. Perfect.
These comments are getting old, you guys act like content creators want to work for free. 😂
Thanks great demo. Will do that with my 2016 4runner limited. Perfect overland travel rig.
Looks pretty easy. If I buy a 4Runner I'd just want to remove the bottoms so I can lay down and sleep in the back.

You're welcome, glad it helped you.
Thanks for the video, I would never have found all the bolts without it.
Glad it helped you out.
Thank you! This video helped me to remove my seats on my 2021 4Runner. I hope I can figure out how to put them back in if I ever sell it.
Thank you, I'm to tall for sleeping. Needed to remove one side.
Quick and to the point. Thanks!
Thanks so much. Just took mine out today and you taught me!! 💞🙏🏽
Glad it helped you out.
Thank you for getting right to the point.
Thanks for this! Was also looking at Goosegear, but was debating on just throwing down some plywood. Any other alternatives you found?
I actually built my own out of some 3/4 birch plywood and wrapped it in some black carpet. Turned out pretty good for much cheaper than the GG system.
Simple! Thanks!
Let's see the final bro!!!!

Do you notice better mpg because of seat removal?
@@gregc3831 not at all. It's not that much weight savings.
Were the 2nd row seat bottom bolts difficult to remove?
No not at all in my situation. They came out easily. The 4runner was only 2 years old at the time.
What latch??! I took the Bolts out but it's not budging
Are you talking about the seat bottom? If so there is a loop to pull that releases the latch to flip the seat forward.
Did you happen to have to remove the sliding cargo tray? I want to remove mine but really need some info before I tackle it. Thanks
I did not have a sliding cago tray in my 4runner.

I have never seen a 3rd row in person sorry. Not sure what all is different.
@@jeremyswanson2708 Ya thats the answer I’ve been getting. Bummer. Thanks anyways!
I have the same problem. Did you ever find a solution?
