Nobody has ever been saved by giving their life or anything else to Christ.
That is bartering your life for salvation and is a Satanic counterfeit gospel message.
We are saved because He gave His life for us and we trust Him alone for salvation.
Are you sinlessly perfect?
Every time you sin you are effectively worshipping Satan ( giving yourself to Satan ), that's idolatry and hatred towards God.

Hi there. I just wanted to testify that I gave my life to Jesus Christ and He saved me. There is a process called "sanctification" that we are in once we are born again (John 3:3-5) Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
God saves us and in the process of sanctification, we are being conformed into the image of Christ.
Romans{8:28} And we know that all
things work together for good to them that love God, to
them who are the called according to [his] purpose. {8:29}
For whom he did foreknow, (he also did predestinate [to be]
conformed to the image of his Son), that he might be the
firstborn among many brethren.
Sanctification
2 Timothy 2:21 - If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 - And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
John 17:17 - Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
