    This is the first solo piece I played that wasn’t in some student book… I was 12 when I started it, and it was also the first piece I actively practiced 😅 then the first lockdown came, and motivation went away for a while, until 2 years ago, during the 2nd lockdown, when I needed something to keep me sane, and I suddenly had this extreme motivation after seeing a video on instagram wit a Lindsey Stirling song as background music, and I went from basically not practicing at all to practicing around 2 hours a day, which has luckily stayed that way ever since ❤ I’m 16 years old now, (playing pretty much only classical music again at the moment) I’m a member in 3 youth orchestras, a certified music mentor and currently working on Mozart violin concerto no 2, and I’m playing at a level I’d never thought possible for myself two years ago and playing violin and making music has brought me more joy than anything else in my life so far ❤❤❤ just found the sheet music for this piece again yesterday and I’m honestly so thankful that my teacher chose it for me 3,5 years ago because it was the first step to getting where I am today ❤

    Super, endlich eine wirklich schöne Aufnahme von Perlmans Indian Concertino hier auf RUclips, Danke! Was mit auffällt, da wird heftig zwischen den Lagen gewechselt, wir haben alles in der ersten gespielt (weil wir damals nichts anderes hatten ;-). Hatte Perlman das für die erste Lage geschrieben? Und wie spielt ihr als "Schüler" / eure Schüler das?

    • @TheTwiolins
      @TheTwiolins  3 года назад +3

      Ja als Schüler spielt man es eher nur in der erste Lage. Für die Aufnahme wollten wir aber die vielen leeren Saiten vermeiden 😉

    Ich habe die Konzertchen (genau das bedeutet der Begriff Concertino ja auch) von George Perlman selbst nie gespielt oder geuebt und habe noch nicht einmal die Noten, aber mir gefällt diese interessante Musik. Das Indian Concertino erinnert ein wenig an den 2. Satz von Dvoraks Sonatine op. 100, die ich auch geuebt und gespielt habe. Als Dvorak das Stueck schŕieb, war er gerade in Amerika und hat dort traditionelle indianische Lieder gehoert. In diesem Stil ist auch Perlmans Concertino. Bei Dvorak kommen nur noch die tschechischen Traditionen hinzu.

    Hi, The Twiolins... hope you are fine! How can I get the tracks of these piano accompaniments - without the violin? I am studying this Concertino and these tracks would be perfect for me. Thank you again for posting !

      Hi there… unfortunately we didn’t get the license to sell it. Copyright companies make it impossible and wayyyyyy to expensive for us to publish it for you… maybe you can find it on Imslp or RUclips…

      Thank you for your reply. I have been listening and watching your Indian Concertino for more than two years. I was introduced by Julia Violin Academy. I have decided to play 3 movements after I listened to your Indian Concertino. During our 100 Days Challenge, I have been working on 3rd movement with 1st (2 years ago) and 2nd (5 months ago). I could play 3 movements on our 100 Days Challenge. It was not perfect, there's a lot of room to improve. But I am happy that I can play. I might go for another 100 Days Challenge again. Thank you for encouraging me to play Indian Concertino with 3 movements.

    Hi,
    I need to order the mp3 piano accompaniment of the song.
    Is it possible to order only the audio backing track, to pay it online and receive at the e-mail address or download in another way?
    I’m waiting for your reply.
    Best Regards,
    Marcello De Francesco

    For me this sounds more like an asian concertino than an indian concertino 😆 but it's extremely beautiful and inspiring nonetheless, i give it to all my pupils to play it!
