- Here's another cool song you should probably know. 'After Midnight' is a great song to work on your internal clock. Check it out and have fun :)
Hello! My name is Nathan Leonard and I am a guitarist, songwriter and teacher from Brisbane, Australia. My RUclips channel is all about having fun with guitar stuff - playing cool songs, practicing niche things and trying to get better on this beautiful instrument. It's lo-fi and humble: no tabs, no two-camera angles, no Patreons. Just me talking into an iPhone with my guitar. Thanks for tuning in and hope you get something out of it :)

JJ has so many great tunes - Woman that got away another great one ! Thanks for this
Cool thanks I’ll check that one out!
Great stuff. Too many RUclips guitar instructors think a lesson can be aimed at everyone from absolute beginners to intermediate. They can’t. Your lesson is a nice early intermediate lesson.
Hey thanks so much - it's a pretty casual lesson format here on my channel. Hope you got something out of it.
Thanks 🤙🤙
New here. Really got a lot out of this. Liked, Subbed. All that.
As Arnold Schwarzenegger would say, “I’ll be back.” 🤙🤙
Very cool feel and sound!
Thank you kindly :)
Nice! J.J. Cale had his own way of playing, that's for sure. I'm not good at Chet Atkins style, but it's nice to see the chords and runs.
Yes for sure - J.J. is the man! I suggest that focusing on the rhythm and groove with your runs is worthwhile practice. Thanks :)
Great lesson, not too much and not to little,thanks..
Thanks so much, hope you found it useful!
That’s gold! Thank you man, and thumbs up for this tone
My pleasure thanks for the kind words
great guitar and tone!
Thanks so much - yep love this guitar. My fave!
Thanks man. Cool tutorial with great tips.
You've got my sub.
Hey thanks so much - hope you found it helpful :)
JJ Cale knew where it lived.
Absolutely! Amazing songwriter and so much mojo
Cool song but if I were to add some suggestions for your video structure it would be do a clean play through of the track at the top so we know what we are supposed to be playing. 2nd, just drill down a bit more into the scales, the patterns and extensions, unpick the phrases etc and this would make it a bit more accessible to beginner-intermediates….but I like a challenge so have subbed! 🎉
Hello! Thanks heaps for the feedback - that seems to be a standard template for guitar lessons on YT. I guess I'm assuming some prior knowledge from people but will try to be more explicit with the details. There's so many great channels and resources online now for people to level up their playing. My modest little videos are just a casual chat with a few useful ideas that hopefully help people with their practice and performance. Appreciate your thoughts and I will keep it in mind for future videos. Thanks!
If he played the song all the way through, YT would have busted him for a copyright violation imho.
Magnolia...
I still have the Bonnie and Delaney album.
Ah yes that's the album name - I'll check it out on the way to my gig tonight. Thanks for reminding me!
