- My newly received ENGINEDIY Retrol VE 01 Vacuum Engine, always a pleasure to unbox an engine that has been packed so well for travel halfway around the world. Looking forward to taking a good look at this engine and getting it running in my next video.

@@SteamEngines-Jim Watching your latest videos, are you more into gas engines nor or steam engines?
LOVE the suspense and unboxing Jim! That packaging is neat and just what you want, love the box! 🤩 Looks great, love the colour!
Thanks so much!
Wow, nice video and great looking engine.
The whole family enjoyed watching the unboxing 😊
Super appreciate the comment, thank you 🙂

Appreciate the comment.
That is a beauty, a real fair dinkum beauty
Long time! Hope you're going well. Do you still run engines?
@@SteamEngines-Jim Good to see your still steaming, and i had to reduce my space needed as i am worried about the future of housing in Australia, so i am down to about 16 engines and 5 pairs of undies now.
And also because of me not owning a mobile phone, youtube and Gmail locked me out of my accounts for the last few years.
Is that old forum still running? and would you have the link please? .. but if not then no worries
@@ItSteams Really glad to see you back and make contact again.
Been trying to get back on that old steam forum we used but having no luck, is it still running or maybe my user name was deleted, can you send a link for the forum please as i am finding every place but the right place .. thanks @@SteamEngines-Jim

Thanks Kev, appreciated. I don't know how many times I've watched that clip of yours with the Lancaster. My wife's Grandfather was in the R.A.A.F and stationed in England and was shot down twice over the Channel. Once picked up by a boat and once picked up be a sub, they were in small inflatables and not all the crew were found.
@@SteamEngines-Jim wow Jim
what a story, very brave men who we owe our existence too, just hope we can calm the other tyrant/s down!!!

@@MrFactotum Thanks Kev, have a great weekend mate.
This engine looks great. I‘m curious to see and hear it running … 👍
Thanks, hope it runs as good as it looks.
p.s I wish sellers off eBay would pack engines as nicely!!!!!!
I've bought a few engines from EngineDiy and the packaging always amazes me. Every engine has always arrived in perfect condition.
Lovely engine I wish I could get a flame licker but they’re so expensive 😂
There are some cheaper one's available. I've bought some from China for around $50.00AUD delivered that have been excellent runners.
Great packaging, do you have a link for the place you bought the engine?
I got the Vacuum engine from EngineDiy, here's the link to their website -

How does a 'vacuum' engine actually work?
Wikipedia will give you a much better explanation than I could give you 😀 here's the link -
