Here is my version of Calon Lân, a beautiful traditional Welsh song which means 'pure heart'. I've got an English verse and chorus in there as well. It's quite safe to say that this is one of my favourite songs, and always brings me joy when I sing it.
Hi, Wendy! I'm a long way from Wales and I don't have any Welsh blood in me but I love Welsh music and most Welsh choirs. As a solo a capella, you did very well; just a couple of notes that weren't quite spot-on. I do a bit of a capella singing at our local nursing home, so maybe I will make a short video along those lines sometime soon. Might even find a Welsh song that I could sing.......but not in the Welsh tongue, I'm afraid. Best wishes to you!
Ask not for wealth or riches Nor [redacted] for my part But I have the best of Wishes For a pure and honest heart Oh Pure Heart that knows no sadness Fairer than the Lilies white The Pure heart can sing with gladness Songs of Joy both Day and Night
love the big and the booming Welsh MVCs, but from the lyrics and from my heart, I believe Calon Lan is meant to be sung simply and contemplatively in its highest and best use. Congrats for so doing, and may you be blessed as you bless. Gary
This year's World Day of Prayer has been written by the people of England, Wales and Northern Ireland. I'd love to show this beautiful video to represent Wales as part of our service here in Canada. How can I get permission? Cymru am byth!
Hi Wendy. I absolutely LOVE your voice and this version of my favorite Welsh song. I have a small RUclips Channel and I wondered if I could use a clip of the audio in a video I am thinking of doing about the Abervan mining disaster. As soon as I heard this, I envisioned using it against the backdrop of the old footage. I have already done a couple of Welsh themed videos on my channel if you want to check that out. I would give you credit in the comments below the video of course. I look forward to hearing from you. And thank you again for recording such a beautiful version of this amazing song.

my heart doth walk the hillsides and my spirit angels wings, as the chaff like fruitless vineyards in the undergrowth lie slain! for we walk the starlit heavens with our arms all filled with grain!
