That's the way we were raised in Iowa, and I imagine throughout the Midwest. Many is the time I've brought a friend's car, pickup, motorcycle back with a full tank of gas, and often, an oil change, as well as a wash job. There were times I couldn't afford that stuff for myself, but I always felt like I couldn't afford not to bring stuff I borrowed back in better condition than I borrowed it in.

I was 8 (1956) when our mower broke and needed a part to be ordered. My father was able to borrow a mower from our neighbor. After using it, I helped him to service the neighbors mower prior to its return. His philosophy was like this titled video. I've done the same, and it has helped me all these years. Narragansett Bay.

As far as people not caring about the kind of job they are doing, yeah there are plenty like that, but luckily I believe there are a lot of people who do still care too, and want to do a good job, so that's comforting to know.

Coming from someone with 5 grandkids under 2, and 3 of those are under 1, this is the greatest time of your life :) Wait until you see how the rules at the grandparents change from when you only had your kids. I can't get enough of mine, I hope yours are the same. There is nothing like having them at home all at the same time.

I had a 1976 Ford van for 26 years that was the same size as the one you have. It didn't have that single seat in the back end. That is where we put all our junk when we would take trips.
With the third seat out, we could put three dirt bikes in the back.
Mine had a 351 V8 in it so it was excellent for towing jet skis or boats or the VW Baja Bug.

Daddy corn, it's time.
It's time to sell the farm, move away to another day. I don't want it as I did before. Its time for a cool comfortable place to easy the pains. The farms all I ever wanted, now, what I want I can never have. I have 2 days to go to work left, the 3rd day I have to be at court, and on the 4th, I'm saying goodbye to work, and what happens from there I'll have no more cares. It's been a long rough road, and no more. I have discovered 2 things, death is certain, and I'm gonna eventually starve no matter what or how hard I try. Daddy corn, I have no fight left in me, and it's a long fall down. Tell momma corn, I believe you'll all find out in time, how precious time really is. Like the changing of seasons, it's gone for now, yet the next time it's not the same. Tell Cole, he'll find what his grandpa left behind with a metal detector in the crop fields, and under the trees around the farm.

OMG Eddie is so stinking adorable! He talks to his food! He looks a lot like DaddyCornstar! We've found our grandkids are somehow even better than our own kids! And I don't mean because they go home when we're tired. Maybe because we have more patience & don't have to be the ones out making the money to support the family. We get to spend the time enjoying them, especially with every wonderful thing they do to amaze us.

The doggy don’t like that wash. That battery should not have died that easy. Check water in it. I like this van. Have you had it for a long time. A lot of rocks. Crops are important, needs to be watched. I did not know about the bright and dim I thought there was storage and regulators on your homes.
