Hi idk if you're still looking at comments here, just curious, I followed the quick steps and everything works beautifully. However, I have some outfits that I have to change the foothill on to fit into different styles of shoes and boots, how would you recommend I go about doing that?
Do we have to do it the manual way to prevent clothing from overlapping when toggling them? For example, if I toggle the preset for another outfit besides my default, It still toggles on seperate parts of the default outfit if I were to toggle individual parts, despite being on the other preset. Thanks
How exactly would you do this with avatar that have body blendshapes? (Shrinking legs, arms, - Larger clothes) I've gotten through all the steps but I'm a bit lost when it comes to adding blendshapes
You would add the animations to the transitioning lines in fx layers once they are generated. the animations should be made with blendshapes if certain clothing is toggled on u want all the blendshapes to be already on the original clothing, lets say i have shoes and pants, i make animation for shoes with blendshape on the pants, so that when the pants get enabled while the shoes are on it already has the blendshape activated for those shoes.
Are you possibly willing to maybe talk privately about this? I simply don’t understand the dragging the outfit part. I don’t know how you got to that point
would this method work for multiple outfits on one avatar? or would that just make a big mess of the hierarchy? I have 3 outfits I want to toggle between and I keep getting overwhelmed moving the armature pieces over..
waste of a 47 minute long video. you use write defaults which makes avatars behave in very unpredictable ways. vrchat themselves even tells you in the docs not to use them. 😭
I see that in order to have the outfits show in vrc we have to turn them all on in unity. When I upload other avatars I see that they do not have everything turned on in unity. Is there a way to turn off what we have on our avatars but still be able to toggle them on? When I turn everything on in unity and load in game all the clothes are on and thats what other see my avatar as if they do not see my avi fully on

Quickest way is to copy the avatar body and then paste a new body. Modify the new body blendshapes......then make your regular and new body a toggle
