I like to give songs stories. This one is seen from the view of someone in a recently broken up couple. The slower parts are the present (the conversation about breaking up, the day to day life). The beat drops and loud parts are flashbacks. I think it fits well idk.
Something about vanics music just unlocks that part of the brain that takes you back to the exact moment, time, place, and feelings you had when you first heard the songs. It was eight grade, i was madly in love with my second girlfriend. She was one of the few people i knew that was into edm at the time, and id crushed on her since elementary. We were wreckless teens, and our parents treated us as such and we were hardly ever allowed to see eachother, so we would sneak out and walk miles up and down huge hills in the forest in the middle of the night to get together. We'd walk together in the crisp damp northern California autmn air and spend our time lying by the river listening to this song, along with circles, the original flume album, and lies+collapse by Zeds Dead. These times were soo simple and meaningful, and are such worm fond memories to reminisce upon. That had such an important role in the growth of the person i am today. It makes you wonder what we will think back on upon our current time. What random memories will be remembered and cherished. And what songs will take us back to right here, right now. ♥️♥️♥️
