      HAHA, as a new Dad, it is your duty to take a ton of photos of your girl! I think the biggest thing is that I really believe in 10 years or 15 years, phones/screens that we're using will be 4K/8K and your 12MP iPhone photos will look so poor. These 26MP+ images will stand the test of time and the fidelity, clarity, and resolving quality of Fujifilm glass and color science is just something to behold. I constantly have my camera on me nowadays :) Worth it!

    Your video randomly popped in my recommendations but I'm so glad I watched, a really insightful video!
    That long exposure shot at around 6:00 really is quite special!

      Also to address your point about an EDC style camera, I would strongly suggest a look at the ricoh GR3! I mainly shoot sony now, but when I go on harder mountaineering trips or daily strolls the gr3 is such a gem!
      Great jpegs, sharpest 28 ever, apsc sensor and legit smaller than my phone!

      @@leodelizy3822 The GR3 and GR3x are those cameras that I can't justify buying (I have too many lol) but lust after. I am a believer in what Ricoh does, for sure. Especially with that line.
      Thank you so much for the kind words - seems like the algorithm is showing me some love. I know it's not the funnest thing to do - commenting on a video showing praise but I am very thankful you did! And now I have to excuse myself, I am off to B&H to look for used GR3's 🤣🤣

    You know, this video randomly popped up on my feed, but this was beautifully composed. I am by no means a photographer (very casual), but I hope to do some traveling next year and would like to capture the moments a bit better than my iPhone (Pro 13); and thanks to you, I feel like I need to look no further!

      @@anderxjw haha thanks so much man. This comment made my day. Thank you. I would recommend looking up an older model like the X100S, X100T, or X100F. What budget are you working with? I can’t stress moving away from your phone and into a dedicated camera for memories.

    Randomly stumbled upon your video and those are decent points you made. I honestly sometimes think I made a mistake for going with XT-4 with 16-80mm instead of X100V, because I thought people cared about how "professional" your gear was when you were invited for shoots.
    I was dead wrong, as X100V would suffice for much less money and has built in ND filter and flash. Anywho, I like your video and just wanted to ask you if you have any predictions on when X100V's successor might come out and if it's going to be worth waiting for it or saving some money for X100V when you already have it's "bigger" brother XT-4?
    Thanks in advance and have a nice rest of your day/evening.

      Hey Rasid! Thanks so much for the kind words and glad you found some levity in this video. Yes, it's a tug of war on here when it comes to gear and what you "really" need. I agree with you. The X100V outperforms on a shoot but the f1.4 lenses are really something special. But expensive.
      The X100VI (if it's called that ahha) will probably come out 2023, first half of the year. That's my no-knowledge-don't-care-about-trends-or-history prediction, since I know Fujifilm was able to release 3 cameras this second half of the year and people thought they'd come in 2023. The next X100 is around the corner. In terms of waiting? I don't know. I'd get the X100V if you have the funds now - although it's impossible to find seemingly - and sell it when the new one comes out.
      One thing's for sure - Fujifilm is having a renaissance. The new bodies and lenses (18, 23, 33, 56) are next-level stuff for Fujifilm users. Glad to have you here man! Where can I follow you online?

    • @rasidsaranovic7921
      @rasidsaranovic7921 Год назад +1

      @@oxeneers I agree, it's either first half as you said or at least we should be having "rumors" about the upcoming X100VI in the second half. And yeah I'd get it too but the pricing is through the roof here and also there are none in stock, so you need to wait a few months before you can get it which is why I don't want to rush as X100VI might as well be announced in a few months of time. I can't say anything about their new stuff or whether it's next level as I just bought the camera a few months ago (after years of shooting on my phone) and it's good enough for me. Online wise, I'm on Instagram, but I need to fix up my account because almost all photos are sooc and it's a bit messy.
      I followed you on instagram, I like your work (not to sound generic, but I really do find it to be nice), I just wish you had more photos with x100v (just kidding) 😂😂 Thanks for the time you took to respond and helpful video!

      Maybe look at the XE-4? You can still use the 16-80 with it but at the same time you can throw on a 1.4 prime for portraits or a 27mm f2.8 for a pocket camera smaller than the X100V

    • @rasidsaranovic7921
      @rasidsaranovic7921 Год назад

      @@BobbyGN268 True, but I do want to get used to using only one prime and X100V as I know has built in Flash and ND filter which I find to be an important thing to have especially for portability, as I don't have to carry nd filter and flash around as a separate thing but rather have it in camera.
      In any case thank you for the suggestion!

    WD40 is bad idea for camera gear. Its not even good for bicycle chain lube. The thing is oil-based which will get sticky over time collecting dust and turn it to gunk.

      You will get past it once you realize the f1.4 lenses are unbeatable. I lay in bed at night sometimes thinking about how insane the 33mm is. I made a video a while back saying it's the best lens for the system. I still think it is.

    Great review! Concise, well spoken, and some nice pics to enjoy. Looking forward to more photography vids from you :)
    I've been in a 6 month backorder queue for an X-E4. I decided to go for that over the X100V because I have an X-T4 and want to reuse my lenses. At this point I'd get an X100V if it was available but even that's been backordered all year :(

    • @oxeneers
      @oxeneers  2 года назад +2

      Thank you dude! Really appreciate those words - doing my best to cut through the RUclips flak!
      The X-E4, honestly, fixes almost every issue I have with the X100V (which there are not many of). I am jealous. I saw one once at the camera store but had just bought my X-H2S and couldn't justify owning the X-T3, X-H2S, the X100V, and then the X-E4. Haha. Please do share some of your work with me! Do you post anywhere? My IG is @inandoutofyouth. Would love to see what you're doing with that camera once you get it!
