Jedah feels like a character that should’ve been in the Vs. games since MVC2. Despite the general reception of MVCI, I’m glad that Jedah was finally playable and one of the characters I play the most in that game. Also wasn’t expecting Thorgi lmao, his Retrospectives are amazing.
The sheer amount of glee I felt when this popped up was unrivaled: this is a perfect character for the month of horror and getting a high quality video from both you and Thorgi about Jedah is more than sublime in every way!
Fitting for the month, the one and only, Jedah Dohma, perhaps one of the few things I loved from "Avengers" (Marvel) vs Capcom Infinite, but if you think about it... if you played the underwhelming Capcom Fighting Evolution/Jam, his comic ending teased us with a thing that we can make a reality in MVCI in terms of fighting games (good to see THAT Idea Factory game mentioned... and Project X Zone of course).

Now that you mention Darkstalkers/DMC, I can't help but remember about the Vergil/Morrigan fanart from back in the day, as well as that one Baalbuddy comic series about Morrigan being Nero's mom. I imagine that would have been the twist of a hypothetical crossover game between the two franchises, as it makes quite a bit of sense (although admittedly it does break the sorta established point of Nero being 1/4th a demon)
I’ve read from the Darkstalkers Graphic File long ago that the reason why Jedah is so er, _bloody_ is that his true nature is a *mass of living blood.* …which would sort of explain some of his more gruesome aspects (dripping blood in his idle stance, self-mutilations and even shapeshifting in 2D games). …not sure if that info is outdated, so keep this with a grain of salt.
david was also the voice of previous darkstalkers villain pyron in the darkstalkers ova's(a lot of pyron's story in it could actually be a good lead in to a vampire savior ova.). really loved the rivalry jedah has with dante(fits him he'd pretentiously think sparda a traitor/be old enough they likely met) following up on fighting evolution/going into it with project x zone(if 3 ever happens absolutely love to see dante & bayonetta with the connections they have team up against jedah and have banter with morrigan/see jedah's thoughts on the umbran witches and balder.:3). also while the main character for it really sucked liked cross edge for him being at his most dio being behind the games events alongside morrigan's moments with lilith(alongside teppen the last time lilith had any relevance doing a good job of her story)/seeing her with etna from disgaea(love a disgaea & darkstalkers crossover as laharl/flonne should've been in cross edge.) being the best part of it.

I've only really started to get into DarkStalkers recently, so most of my experience with the cast outside the Vs series has been games like Project X Zone, but I actually finished MvCI's story mode for the first time earlier this year and it's given Jedah a high spot in my ranking of video game villains, pulling off the rare hat trick of being both intimidating AND fun to watch, not to mention he is a ton of fun to play as in that game. Also, pleasantly surprised his contract super that splatters the opponent onto it made it in, that really seems like the kind of thing 2010s Marvel wouldn't have approved xD I will say, I'll be a little sad if he isn't in future Vs games!

I remember that Jedah's design is based on Akira Fudo from the Devilman manga, especially when Akira wears his high school outfit. Jedah's head also looks like Devilman's His redesign in MVCI is also cool.
David Kaye also voiced Clank from Ratchet and Clank games. Jedah's japanese voice is Isshin Chiba aka Jin Kazama's voice. I did watch Beast Wars, but back in the day I watched it with an awful russian dub.
Jedah is honestly my second favorite character from Darkstalkers, and that's mostly from seeing/playing him in MVCI. I loved just about everything about him, his moves, his animations, his playstyle, his voice, I just loved it all; Sure he's not my absolute favorite, (That's Hsien-Ko) but dang it, he's still up there. I can also definitely say Thorgi wasn't who I had in mind when it comes to the guest was going to be, but I'm not complaining. Whenever DarkStalkers is mentioned, I knew thorgi would be there lol. Jedah has some of the most memorable attacks and stage. Jedah in infinite was an awesome edition plus his rivalry with Dante was a cool callback. And yes BeastWars is amazing, I remember liking the Cheetah as a kid.

The Way I See It Took a Crap Ton Of Years for Jedah Dohma to pop up In Marvel Vs Capcom just like It to me 3 Decades watch Blood In Blood Out and Miklo Velka Is a fantastic character I'd along with Ozone from Breakin' and V From V For Vendetta Is my choice for a cinematic Icon recognition
David Kaye as Jedah is very fitting casting,considering how a lot of the voice cast for Beast Wars like Garry Chalk and Scott McNeil also did voices for The Darkstalkers Cartoon
2:36 This is one of the reasons why I consider Jedah to be among my Top 25 Most Scariest Fictional Characters. Not because of Jedah’s character design itself (he’s cool and not scary), it’s just because of the stage. It’s reminiscent of Giygas due to all the red and the fact that Giygas’s final form has a pattern of what appeared to be an ultrasound of a baby.
I think for me personally Jedah's mvci theme fails is because the climax of the song only if shows up at the beginning. So when the song starts to ramp up, it just falls down and feels flat. Great video like always, Jedah's also one of my favorite darkstalker characters along with Talbain and BB Hood.
@@conlinmckay1742 That's fair! It's funny though, because the Vs. series initially remixed SF themed by making the climax of the original theme the intro for the arrangement and it worked well there. MvCI fumbling music isn't a surprise there though, I suppose!
@@TheSeventhForce the MVCI character themes aren't that strong compared to the other games (especially for the returning Marvel characters). But there's still a few bangers in there. Like you said before, Morrigan's theme is one of the remixes I liked in the game. I also enjoy a few of the Capcom ones like Nemesis or Chris. Chris's theme specifically in MVCI is one of my favorite tracks I go back to from time to time.

Having played Darkstalkers for the first time recently, Jedah's a pretty cool character, and him being in MvC: Infinite is a pleasant surprise. It's just a shame that he's in MvC: Infinite :I

Well, Halloween is coming and seeing the roster, it will be for the next videos: - Any Darkstalkers dude (Morrigan, Hsien-ko, Anakaris, B.B Hood) - Any Ghost n Goblins (Arthur or Red Arremer) - Dante ( The only DMC character who rest in the analysis) - Chris Redfield (The only RE who rest in the analysis) - Akuma or Evil Ryu (Maybe The bad side from Ryu can be scary for the theme or Akuma because he is a "demon" can match) - Ghost Rider - And Maybe Dr Strange or Dormammu (Well, im dont know, they have some mystic vibes that can match the Halloween)
It was great having Jedah be in infinite but at the sad cost of Felicia, who should have been a staple at this point and not removed. The same with Hsien-Ko. People say he is the best newcomer and I can not agree, he is full of personality. Hopefully more dark stalkers in the next game

David Kaye as Jedah is very fitting casting,considering how a lot of the voice cast for Beast Wars like Garry Chalk and Scott McNeil also did voices for The Darkstalkers Cartoon

2:36 This is one of the reasons why I consider Jedah to be among my Top 25 Most Scariest Fictional Characters. Not because of Jedah’s character design itself (he’s cool and not scary), it’s just because of the stage. It’s reminiscent of Giygas due to all the red and the fact that Giygas’s final form has a pattern of what appeared to be an ultrasound of a baby.
I think for me personally Jedah's mvci theme fails is because the climax of the song only if shows up at the beginning. So when the song starts to ramp up, it just falls down and feels flat.
Great video like always, Jedah's also one of my favorite darkstalker characters along with Talbain and BB Hood.
@@conlinmckay1742 That's fair! It's funny though, because the Vs. series initially remixed SF themed by making the climax of the original theme the intro for the arrangement and it worked well there. MvCI fumbling music isn't a surprise there though, I suppose!
@@TheSeventhForce the MVCI character themes aren't that strong compared to the other games (especially for the returning Marvel characters). But there's still a few bangers in there.
Like you said before, Morrigan's theme is one of the remixes I liked in the game. I also enjoy a few of the Capcom ones like Nemesis or Chris. Chris's theme specifically in MVCI is one of my favorite tracks I go back to from time to time.
Believe it or not he and Felicia are my favorite Darkstalkers characters

@@ThiefofRPGistheWanderingSoul I actually couldn't get that interaction to trigger 😐. Infinite randomizes interactions, even for characters that are supposed to have unique dialogue.

That makes it harder to see the fun crossover dialogue that they put so much money into recording in the first place.
@@ThiefofRPGistheWanderingSoul No idea, but it makes recording interactions for MvCI a pain. Sometimes it'll happen after a few tries, sometimes it takes a few hours.
Jedah was such a fun character to play as it just sucks that his debut in the Capcom vs series was in Infinite of all things.
Having played Darkstalkers for the first time recently, Jedah's a pretty cool character, and him being in MvC: Infinite is a pleasant surprise. It's just a shame that he's in MvC: Infinite :I

Resident Evil 7 via PlayStation VR is the scariest thing I've ever played, and I don't think it'll ever be topped in those regards.
