Hello, I saw that you had an artist separation problem... I'm having one on Instagram with another artist being tied to my music. Can you tell me how you resolved the issue??

Hi there, I went through the CD Baby artist separation process for Spotify and the issue was fixed for Spotify, RUclips and Amazon. I just assumed that all of the platforms were fixed but then I saw that it was not right on Apple Music. I reached out to Apple myself and it is in the process of being fixed. The email address I wrote to for help with Apple is itunesconnect.apple.com I will have to go back on my CD Baby dashboard to get the list and check all platforms. I have not checked Instagram. I hope that helps. If it doesn't, I think your best bet is to put in a help request at CD Baby. If I come across any info specifically for IG I will let you know. Best of Luck. Let me know how you make out.

@@jeannegiddens Thank you very much for replying. The problem I'm having is in the IG stories, the music player says my Artist name and song but when you click on it, it is linked to another artist. I was able to send a screenshot to IG and reported the problem there plus requested a call back from CdBaby since IG was not listed in their separation list. Thank you keeping me posted. I will let you know how it turns out. Best of Luck as well!

What category do photographers fall under as a work made for hire under the federal definition (and not an employee)?

That's a great question. Because the answer depends on the language in the contract, you should consult an attorney to review the contract and answer any specific questions that you have. If you do not have an attorney, feel free to contact Cassandra Spangler, Esq. and set up a consult. Her website is www.cspanglermusiclaw.com.
