    Thanks for giving her another chance. I recall you’re first reaction. She has done some rock music. Most recent wasn’t in English but nonetheless very good. Name of the song is: Ang Huling El Bimbo. Again, live but in a concert setting.

      Additionally, I can tell the genre really wasn’t you cup of tea but im glad you can recognize her talent. May I ask, what other genre’s you are into other than metal? I could make some recommendations to you if you like. Have a good one, bud.

    I rather reactors be honest in their reaction and now just cater to the mob. I think Morissette is the best female vocalist of this generation. But, I don't believe she'll ever fit in the metal genre. As someone said earlier, "Ang Huling El Bimbo" is a rock style song, but not metal. I think she does amazing in that song. It might be something to look at. There are a lot of people out here on RUclips who just don't understand why you don't like their artist or band. They don't understand there is a wide diverse group of people with differing tastes in music. It's really not possible to disagree with someone else's taste in music. Some people eat fish, I hate fish, and just because someone thinks it is the best food ever will never convince me it is the best food ever.
    Anyway, keep up the good work and thanks for being honest.

    Its super interesting to hear an opinion from someone who would not normally listen to this kind of music so that's awesome from you! And you were honest in saying you might not like it too, I liked hearing what you'd prefer from a song, valid opinions. She does have an amazing voice, singing with that much power while also sitting down is great. I agree with you and the annoying radio stations lmao, I get they wanna 'watermark' the song I guess? but does ruin it. This was fun!

    I mean, man, I understand that everyone has their musical tastes but for someone who comments a music video, confusing an R&B song with a pop song is at least as unforgivable as confusing heavy metal with rap 🤣

      Would it really? Or would it be like me asking you to describe the difference between metalcore and melodic death metal? It's a general umbrella pop means popular. R&b is gues what? Popular

      Thank you proving that you didn't listen to me. You know this isn't the only artist I didn't like (though I didn't even have a problem with this song) but this is the most pompous gatekeeping obnoxious fan base I've ever dealt with. There are other artists I started off not liking when I reacted to them but kept giving them chances because of how cool the fan base was but I think this fan base has officially turned me off.

    Your a little bit of a snob. It's not like you understand music. Your not listening to Miles Davis or Mozart. You like rock music. Me too. But I can appreciate an amazing talent. I think you may have a little tiny bit of prejudice about pop. Again. I get it. I don't quite understand the whole Taylor Swift thing, but this song brought me to tears. Let go of your prejudices!

    Could you stick to rock and metal? Pop and ballads don't suit you, so there's no reason to force yourself. It'll be better for your channel and a better experience for the fans of the artist you react to as well. Just my two cents. I, for one, love Morissette. Try The Warning, which is a great rock band. They might be more up your alley.

      The point to reacting to music is to attempt to expand my horizons. There's been plenty of times where songs in a genre I don't like or even from an artist I don't like have surprised me. Also I appreciate the suggestion but I have heard of the warning and have even reacted to them

    • @EmptyNesters24
      @EmptyNesters24 5 месяцев назад +2

      @@NormandyGaming I can appreciate you expanding your horizons, however your reaction is the opposite of that. You're stating that you want her to fit your narrative for the performance that she needs to be another instrument instead of actually focusing on her ability as a singer. That is what its supposed to be not how she can change her "pop" flavor to fit your taste.

I'm merely trying to let you guys know where my opinion is coming from amd why I feel the way I do. I could just say "yeah she's talented but I don't like it" and I'm sure her fans would hate that even more .

    Try doing some research mate before you come out with comments like you can tell she's trained, well for your information she is self taught, the only tuition she has had in her life was when her dad was doing breathing exercises to build up her stamina so she's had nothing spent on that unbelievable voice of hers 🇬🇧.

    They put in the "promo" of the radio station for the same reason reactors have to pause during a reaction...copyright. Otherwise viewers would download copyrighted music for free. This is done in every performance on the Wish Bus. With all due respect to you as a proclaimed "Metalhead", maybe you should just stick to the music you do like best rather than venture to critique on music of which you already have a somewhat negative and pre-disposed opinion of. That "Mariah Carey thing" is called "whistle tone" or "whistle notes". And just so you know, Mariah Carey didn't "invent" them. A wonderful singer, by the name of Minnie Ripperton, was singing those notes when Carey wasn't even a teenager and long before Carey's name was even known. Even so, you as a "Metalhead" have failed to understand the skills of ANYONE being able to reach those "high notes" and those of Morissette Amon. Another bit of trivia...Morissette didn't have professional training when she started singing. Her father was in a rock n roll band and what she learned he taught to her and the rest was self-taught. Her incredible talent is as natural to her as breathing. I'm sure, as she has gotten more and more exposure, she has had SOME help with honing her natural skills. But she, ultimately, is responsible for every sound that comes out of her!! You failed to acknowledge her "out of this world" breath control; her extraordinarily beautiful vibrato (that not every singer can do) and her emotive story telling of the songs she sings. And one other thing comes to mind, knowing you have only listened to 2 of her performances. Morissette can sing and perform ANY genre of music and does it almost to perfection. I get that you might have thought it would be a good idea to get on the bandwagon of Morissette because subscribers and viewers have maybe suggested you react to her. But, imho, if you're not as versed in anything other than the kind of music you love, then I suggest leave alone the kinds you don't. It's truly insulting to Morissette fans and to vocal coaches who MANY have said she's the best singer of her generation, TODAY, and maybe THe best female singer in the world. They do know and understand the skills she uses are stunning, jaw-dropping and to use one word that nearly EVERY reactor has used.....effortless.

      You know what's actually hilarious about comments like this. The most successful reactions on my channel are my babymetal ones. The first kne I listened to I didn't like but the babymetal fan base was so supportive and understanding that I kept on going and eventually became a huge fan of them. If you were truly a fan of her you wouldn't gate keep so hard and instead would be hoping I continue the journey and eventually become a fan.

      @@NormandyGaming Were the quotation marks, in your 1st reply, meant to mean you were quoting something from me? Because those were not any words I used. Glad you think my comment is so hilarious. I found both of yours, to be condescending. I don't think I was being that tough on you. Like you, I was simply being honest. Perhaps, it was my extreme disappointment with the things you said about that young lady, that made me so defensive as I am a supporter of HER! I had no clue that I could comment anything that would trigger you. I guess I've now learned that those who critique don't like it when they are. Ok..noted in the very back of my mind. Maybe your taste will expand. But to be honest, I really couldn't care less about hoping you become a fan of hers too. You and your loyal base either will or won't. She will do just fine with or without your input. What I can hope for is that your fan base appreciates more how incredible Ms. Amon's abilities are to do what she does that SO MANY strive for but very few can replicate. She hasn't been called a "Master Class Performer" for no reason.
