I have wanted to do this pond for so long.
This client buys all his Koi from us at @TimWaddington and when we are in Japan. A superb collection.
The single bottom drain is filtered by a Nexus 320
qualitynishiki...
A mid feed drain filtered via a 30" Kplus filter which also goes back through a 30KW heater

Then one of our custom skimmers which is also run on a 30" Kplus filter

The system also runs back through 2 x EVO110's

I have a Nexus 320 Auto Clean as well, Tim and they are very good as well best thing I did as well

Lovely to see a pond with loads of room for the Koi to swim. Please dont overcrowd it like so many do!
There seems to be a convergence on ponds being built at around 5500 gallons which may workout on the maths of optimal for heating/treatment costs etc...but the majesty of seeing such a stunning collection in that size pond is quite breathtaking. We tip our hats off to you Lee (and the family)

Never knock a Nexus , what a lovely pond and water condition . Doesn't test Doesn't need to because he knows that water is bang on , great video . Enjoyed that!

Wow and big big pond makes the fish look soooo small , do like the bog pond water fall good idea , some people have a great eye for detail , and i love my nexus , same clean every 3 to 4 days tho in summer every 2 days to get rid of fines
I do love a circular pond this one is stunning imagine if it was a few bricks high with rolled glass windows….. it’s immense very impressive. Quality fish too

I planted my 4 tier Bakki with reeds and various plants it’s the stainless steel Momotaro so I’m not worrying about stress is the material.
They have grown like wildfire Tim there’s a mini jungle sprouting out me Bakki it’s doing good for the water too . Goldfish fanciers are really paranoid about plants and they can transfer nasties but the koi seem tougher than the fancies I’ve kept

Lovely pond, by the way what do you think about pool ponds? In other words using one of those circle or rectangular shaped big pools that you buy from stores and build. Of course with a filter and all the essentials

Wow, that’s a pond! Stunningly done, must have took some digging! Does that wire installed like that really keep herons away? I ended up covering mine with netting but if wire like that works would be interesting, great video Tim!

6m diameter. 5’deep. I know because I glassed it.

It’s about 5’ deep.

@@TimWaddington no it's not but the water looked a little brown and ask because mine is the same so ask for tips to remove the brown.
