Lara, every time my four year old grandson comes to visit, I pick up my uke and play two chords Clementine and without fail he will creep up close to sing along. So appreciate you. Love two chords!❤️
I thought im the only one who's having hard time transistioning from G chord. Im a begginer, glad to hear that i can get used to it (i just have to practice more) 😉 for everyone who just started, keep it up 😊
...Wow....I have been struggling with this song... you gave me the key to latch on to a simple strum so I can pick it up & then do the variations... You are the best...Thanks...Oh yeah & I forgot to add.... You are just as cute as a bugs ear....
I like the calmness of your tutorials. I also appreciate the fact that you propose classic old song instead of the new commercial hits like most of the ukulele teachers on RUclips do!
Thanks Lara. I always feel as though I'm making progress with your tutorials because you keep it simple for beginners. I always get lost quickly when the teacher suddenly switches to professional mode halfway through the tutorial.
In "Horse With No Name", I prefer to use Gmaj7 (spelled from strings 4 to 1 as 0222) which is a bit more dreamy or mysterious than Em and it's easier to transition from Gmaj7 to F#m because the chords are close to each other on the fretboard.
Hi Lara. I am left handed but right dominant. I write with my left but bowl, bat, and shoot with my right, but wash dishes and clean with my left hand. I’m wondering should I just get the right handed uke and work through the transition? If I get it could I change the stings around If I just can’t do it? Additionally I play piano but I can not sing 🤦♀️
That's a great question! As a right handed player who has never tried play left handed, I really can't recommend which way is better for you. Some left handed players choose to play left handed and others right handed. You could definitely give it a try right handed and then change the strings if it isn't feeling comfortable. That's great that you play piano too!
@@LaraMarkowitzMusic perfect answer so I can change the strings. Also looks like later I could also put a low G sting on it. Thank you so much this eases the buying anxiety 😂 thank you for responding
Dreams sounds better, more like the Fleetwood Mac recording, if you use a G6 instead of G chord. G6 is 0202. In other words, just leave string 2 open when you play the G chord. It's a dreamy chord.
Thanks, Lara. love your videos ❤
Thanks so much Cherie, I'm glad you're enjoying the lessons! 😊

Thanks for sharing this Stanley. It sounds quite different with Gmaj7 but it definitely works as another option 👍
Hi, what type of ukulele are you using? Thank you for your tutorials.
Sorry, I just heard that you use tenor. May you share what brand you are using? I just don't want to buy lemons. Thank you.
