If you read comment, I’m giving them a compliment on having played well so far, but I’ve seen both teams play in person, and I personally feel like Duncanville still has the better team. They are evenly matched as far as size, speed, and talent, but Duncanville still has the competitive edge in my opinion. I just hope they are both able to make it back to the state championship. It’s going to be a real treat to see the #1 wideout in the country play against the #1 defensive back in the country. Given how stacked they are with talent on both teams, I think the game will be decided by whoever is better coached... Coach Samples at Duncanville is a legend. I think he’s #3 all time most winningest head coaches in Texas high school football. Willie Gaston is a great coach as well, but everyone knows the secret to Northshore’s success was the program that John Kay, the former head coach built. NS was a much better team under Coach Kay, but he’s gone now. I think Samples is the better head to head coach compared to Gaston so in this case, my money is on Duncanville. Duncanville has a slight edge in the talent category and a legend as their head coach.
