I have asked Muslims what do the women get in heaven and no Muslim can tell me. It's horrible how women are treated in this religion and the number of assaulted victims in Muslim countries as of 2021 are 69 daily and 49 every hour.
I have always been curious about this (but enough to Google it because I despise Islam and know the answer will be some stupid thing). If men get 72 virgins what the hell do women get?

I have heard of Muslim men saying European and American women were "easy". I used to think it's because we tend to be more liberal in the way we dress and think. Now I wonder if it's because of their view of "Muslim heaven".

If Christians altered their scriptures, wouldn't it be one of the top priorities to make it seem nice in heaven? You get what you want kind of thing, just to get followers?

And in heaven it is only telling about judgement and getting white robes.
Jesus even says we will not marry and we will be like the angels in that respect. And no that doesn't mean free carnal sex with anyone anytime anywhere.

As for proofs of the truth of his doctrine, he brought forward only such as could be grasped by the natural ability of anyone with a very modest wisdom. Indeed, the truths that he taught he mingled with many fables and with doctrines of the greatest falsity. He did not bring forth any signs produced in a supernatural way, which alone fittingly gives witness to divine inspiration; for a visible action that can be only divine reveals an invisibly inspired teacher of truth. On the contrary, Muhammad said that he was sent in the power of his arms-which are signs not lacking even to robbers and tyrants. What is more, no wise men, men trained in things divine and human, believed in him from the beginning, Those who believed in him were brutal men and desert wanderers, utterly ignorant of all divine teaching, through whose numbers Muhammad forced others to become his followers by the violence of his arms. Nor do divine pronouncements on the part of preceding prophets offer him any witness. On the contrary, he perverts almost all the testimonies of the Old and New Testaments by making them into fabrications of his own, as can be. seen by anyone who examines his law. It was, therefore, a shrewd decision on his part to forbid his followers to read the Old and New Testaments, lest these books convict him of falsity. It is thus clear that those who place any faith in his words believe foolishly.

I'm wondering what Islamic philosophers like Avicenna thought about this stuff. I know that Aristotle and Plato were two big influences in early Muslim philosophical thought. So how did they reconcile these Islamic beliefs with Platonic ideas dealing with the superiority of the soul/mind over the body and Aristotelian/Platonic ideas about virtue?....I feel like there is a lot more that can be said.

As Christians, we believe that “greatest pleasure” is the one True pleasure. We look forward to an Eternal Life that actually eliminates the need and temptation to seek pleasure anywhere else but in the Presence of Christ our Lord and flesh of God.

"There will be full breasted women of equal age".

My question is this - if all these things would happiness n meaning to life not many rich people would have committed suicide right?. They had enough girls around them and had provisions to drink without limit. But at some point they realized there is no point in such a life.

@Jy Ks Even if 72 virgins is only "a metaphor" from the hadith, what a terrible metaphor it is. And you're forgetting that this is alluded to in the Qur'an. For example, Surah 78 : 33 says that in heaven you will be married to women with big and beautiful breasts. And of course there are plenty of other questionable verses in the Qur'an as well. This is only one short video; David Wood is not "cherry-picking" just one thing to make Islam look bad as he has plenty to say elsewhere.

I don’t think Mohammed was the author of the Quran anyway. The issue is that the rock inscriptions in northern Arabia indicate that those people were already holding some generic form of Judeo-Christianity. While the Quran asserts that the Arabs were pagans or Christians. The archeology simply doesn’t match the Islamic history. It would seem that the Arab conquests were energized by the Byzantine retreats, not a new religion in which Mohamed enticed the converts with a sex heaven

I have a lot of respect for Mr. Wood…but I’m not a fan of his combative, oftentimes condescending style of evangelism. I don’t think it’s the way our Lord Jesus Christ would have conducted himself. I think there are Muslim apologists addressing this. Google the topic and you will someone. But it is one of those things they would rather not discuss in public.
Good idea to listen to both sides and think for yourself. Ultimately, It depends whether you want to know a personal God or follow a religion of works.

If you can explain the concept of heaven yourself I'd welcome that too. From my understanding muslim men get palaces, rivers of wine, Houris, and eternal praise to Allah. Is this what heaven is? What do women get?

It seems to me that your description of Islamic heaven is inline with what David Wood discussed. I do not see the misrepresentation your fellow muslims are claiming. Please point out to me if I am wrong.
However the Quranic account of heaven is very different from the Biblical account. This is what has Christians so perplexed in the comments. We do not expect to desire worldly pleasures in heaven. Nor are we given in marriage in heaven. Christian marriages dissolve at death. We expect our humanity to be redeemed and have direct connection with God restored. Our inner most desire is for God and in heaven this desire will be perfectly satisfied.

Those who deny (their Lord,creator Allah), for them will be cut out a garment of Fire. Over their heads will be poured out boiling water. The Unbelievers will be led to Hell in crowd: until, when they arrive, there, its gates will be opened. And its keepers will say, "Did not messengers come to you from among yourselves, rehearsing to you the Signs of your Lord, and warning you of the Meeting of This Day of yours?" The answer will be: "True: but the Decree of Punishment has been proved true against the Unbelievers!" (Quran 39:71)
They will say: "Yes indeed; a Warner did come to us, but we rejected him and said, '(Allah) never sent down any (Message): ye are nothing but an egregious delusion!"
They will further say: "Had we but listened or used our intelligence, we should not (now) be among the Companions of the Blazing Fire!"

He had this visit hundreds of yrs after Christ was crucified and what does the devil do throughout history? He never makes his own things but instead he confuses and perverses things of God. So what did he do in mahammad a case, show up after the gospel was being spread and try and confuse and perverse the story of Jesus Christ our one and only Lord and savior. The devil is a liar. Which is why the ideas of heaven being based around sex is just ridiculous because it’s an earthy desire and when we are in Gods presence we won’t be thinking about earthy desires and being around God will be even more pleasurable than s$x. There are plenty of Muslims converting daily and many claim that Jesus appeared in their dreams or visions revealing the truth but you never hear that about Christians seeing visions or dreams about allah or mahammad or Jesus coming to them saying we are wrong in worshiping him and there is a logical reason for that. The Quran says two good guys will come and than Jesus who tells everyone not to worship him because he is a prophet and everyone who doesn’t confess allah as their god gets taken out, and than their bad guy comes and than everyone does and allah judges. That makes no sense and in what situation does the bad guy come at the very end. Many believe the antichrist will come from Roman palpably or be a president of USA etc but that does not line up with scripture. The antichrist will not worship the trinity like the Roman palpacy does and will come from Middle East. Events in scripture have always occured in the same area from front to back of bible although it will effect the entire world, that area is the area we should watch for signs for. The calls the antichrist an Assyrian. Love one another like Jesus has taught us, no matter their religion but do not turn away from our one and only Savior Jesus Christ for he loved us so much that he died on the cross for our sins and paid our debt so if we believed in his sacrifice than we could be saved and spend eternity with him. I also forgot that a Muslim told me that after their false prophet “Jesus” shows up on the scene than everyone will have a mark on their foreheads to let them know if they follow allah or not. And it is the Lord who destroys and judges all. That makes more sense to me and seems like it would be the devil who want chaos and people harming other people.

Greetings to you. I am a fellow Catholic here.
Matt, I am afraid that this is a one sided view. The more nuanced, orthodox beliefs in Islam are quite deep. Like Catholics, Islam too has a long interpretative and even mystical tradition.
I have been reading quite a bit as part of my ongoing efforts in inter-religious dialogues (most of which has been with Hinduism). And I can say that at least the scholars I have been reading or hearing do not have a simplistic and easy to reject notion of heaven, such as the one represented here.
My work has focussed thus far on Hindu-Catholic bridge building. Only in recent times have I started learning from scholarly literature in Islam. But from what I know, unfortunately I find it hard to agree with this video (I am an avid follower of your channel by the way and have learnt so much from you :) )
I am telling this in the spirit of reconciliation and to be fair to all our fellow human beings with who we share many things; most importantly the recognition that we are on a journey towards God. We may disagree on even essentials; it's best to avoid misrepresentation though.
Matt, please do not mind. I hope you take this with an openness spirit, which I know God has given you in abundance.
