Today has been a tough day on me mentally. I woke up this morning just in a constant stare at my little boy and reflecting, just 4 years and 9 months ago at 3 months old our little warrior went in for his first brain surgery.
He was born with an illness called #hydrocephalus and his was on the severe side. With his first surgery at 3 months old being a failure due to bleeding, we had to wait a whole month for a second surgery.
It was during this surgery they placed a #VPshunt into his head, to help regulate the build up of spinal fluid. By the grace of God we haven’t had any revisions since that surgery, but some other kids with the illness are not so blessed.
Our pediatrician said in reality most kids with the #VPshunt end up having 30/40 revision surgeries by the time they are 10 years old. That’s why we at The Bearcycle Show and The Omega Broadcast are asking you all to partner with us.
From now on 10% of proceeds given to the show, whether through donations, patreon, merch etc. will go to the @HydroAssoc to help them find a cure for this illness. I’m asking from the bottom of my heart...
