Definitely 2 points dropped vs Swansea. I still can’t believe we’re the only side yet to get a penalty this season, we had a clear one imo turned down on Friday, and on another day if we take our chances it’s a comfortable win. Not convinced Lowe’s goal wasn’t a handball either but you can’t expect to win if you don’t take your chances. I still believe we have a decent chance of staying up, but it’s going to be a tough ask for sure.
Sheffield Wednesday have only scored 31 goals all season, just one more than the fewest (Rotherham) so it figures they are probably in the opposition penalty area less than other teams. As an Ipswich supporter we have not had many, despite being top scorers, and another blatant one missed at Blackburn
@@kevinbailey3384 I don’t know the exact number of box entries we’ve had, but I do know since Rohl has come in we’ve been operating like a mid-table side, certainly in an attacking sense. It would be reasonable to assume that in at at least one of the 26 games he’s been in charge that we would’ve been awarded a penalty, irrespective of league position. I would encourage you to check the Ugbo incident from our game and tell me that we shouldn’t have been awarded a penalty.
As an Ipswich supporter, whatever happens with Leicester v Norwich will help us, as we are at Norwich next Saturday. The pressure is really on Leicester, and if they can somehow get back to winning, it will put the pressure back on to Ipswich and Leeds, who both have tricky games to Hull and Southampton. We have the chance to effectively knock Southampton out of the automatic promotion race, as we will be 13 points ahead of them if we win, and whilst Southampton have two games in hand, they still need to go to Leeds and Leicester, so should they win those two games, or draw them, that helps us in any case. What a season for the neutral or those who support a mid-table side
Even with a few injury concerns Middlesborough had a good midfield in their last game. Isaiah Jones, Finn Azaz, Sam Greenwood, Lewis O'Brian and Dan Barlaser or Hayden Hackney, will be too much for us I think. Weds lose to both Boro and Norwich, but beat both QPR and Blackburn, and get a point from Stoke to stay up by a point or two.
Swfc Friday nights game we could have won if we had taken the opportunity when they came to us but let’s focus on Monday and hope for all 3 points coming against an decent Middlesbrough team but imo they are hit and miss but I’ll take a point away from home
I was a bit frustrated with the missed chances on Friday but at boro you just never know what boro side will turn up?? I'd take a piont on Monday but 3 would be MASSIVE...UTO 😊😊
Huddersfield won't be bothered about getting relegated. They booted a point out of Leeds and they are happy enough with that. Be their best selling DVD this year since their 100 greatest throw ins. At least they will be in Europe next season. Wrexham away.
