Love how people shit on Donaire for losing to the best technical boxer in the world (yeah rigondeaux is more technically perfect than mayweather but not as good all round) and lost to a monster Walters who is a weightclass above him. Yet people act like he is a bum fighter. Give the guy some respect. He didn't duck them.
Rigo is somethin else. I dont know why people dont like to watch this guy. but Donaire underestimated him. He didnt know what was coming for him

Rigondeaux is an amazing talent. He should be back on your network. The fighter of the year got schooled in this fight. It just goes to show how special the level of talent is on this guy. The level of Mayweather, Tyson, Ali and the like!

Rigondeaux is a perfect exampe of an amateur boxer who made his way to the top through his talent and hard work.Stop hating him and instead, admire him.
Im a Filipino and a big Donaire fan. Hands down Donaire was out classed that match.. Got to give it up to Rigondeaux. He executed his game plan flawlessly. And his counter punching made Donaire hesitant. Donaire had no answer to Rigondeaux ring generalship. The guy moves so smoothly and really has amazing footwork. For the first time in a long time Donaire looked lost and was the inferior fighter. Much respect to the cuban.

this was a boxing masterpiece. Donaire looked like a bum , he didn't know what to do with that slick pure boxer. Rigo is one of the best boxers I've ever seen in terms of skills, he's up there with Ward and Mayweather.

Nonito is hands down one of the best fighters to come out in the last 15 years. He's dangerous on the offence (southpaw or ortho) and he's even more dangerous on the defence ( his counter punching is ridiculous ) . He has the skill to overwhelm and pressure fighters with pure control (unlike pacquiao) while still being defensive. Not to mention combined with great footwork and his speed! Rigo will have a test. Not counting him out but for those that say he'll beat Nonito easy.. watch more boxing
Yes I agree. I know Nonito will win as I've indicated in previous posts. He's faster, smarter, more experienced with good power himself. I was only trying to point out Rigo's strengths and not underestimate him as an opponent. Underestimating Rigo with overconfidence will be Nonito's downfall. This should be an easy victory but he should also expect to get hit hard as well. Offensively, Nonito is a better counterpuncher. Defensively, Nonito may get rocked by those power punches if he's open.

Exactly! Boxing is not a street fight. Its a Hit and dont get hit game! Rigondeaux is a purist. He is a technician. He frustrated Donaire, made him miss, and used the ring to achieve that. May not be a crowd-pleasing style, but it does win fights. So no robbery there.
Rigon totally outclassed Donaire. Rigon also actually beat Donaire up real bad. Both of Donaire's eyes were swollen, his lip busted, and he knots on his nose and cheeks.
How can you say that, fighters get criticized for ducking opponents and now for taking on the best. How can that be, the true nature of a warrior is seek out the best and test themselves, look for the opponent who will bring out the best in you

All 300+? He hasn't lost in over a decade. Until u understand what it is that he does in there you don't know how good he is. This is boxing not street fighting the superior BOXER wins in this sport. Rig is not just tactical he smart and patient and will pick his punches accordingly. All the Donaire fans are saying he'll KO Rig. that pretty much proves that even they know he won't out box Rig. and Rig simply isn't going to exchange punches in a wild fashion to allow a lucky shot in. I know Donaire is eager to have a rematch if Rigo will not run and hide. Too late for Donaire to figure Rigo's running style. Now that Donaire knows that Rigo is nothing but hit and run. Donaire is agressive in the later rounds until he knock down the running Rigo. If Donaire is agressive and cuts the running Rigo, Donaire will catch the running Rigo. Cant wait for the rematch. Donaire will surely got this running RIgo.

Alot of writers says Rigo's win doesnt makes his career stellar despite his biiggest victory. The sellout crowd booed him throughout, unhappy with Rigondeaux's defensive wizardy. Rigo runs, danced, ducked, just disgusting for boxing. Thats not what fans want to watch. A champion doesnt run, maybe he fell the power of Donaire after round5 when he got caught with that left hook. For Rigo, u better watch out for the rematch. All i can say is "YOU CAN RUN BUT U CANT HIDE."

I hate 'fans' like you. So what, a great fighter was beaten by another incredible fighter. They're both badass warriors deserving our respect. Donaire is of the highest quality, that Rigondeaux beat him doesn't mean Donaire sucks, it means that Rigondeaux is a monster.
There was no fight. There was only boxing... Not very exciting fight but Rigondeaux proved himself.
Notice how the ones with the more meaningful reason why they want to win actually wins? :) boxing is about that fire in them. History shows itself!

I never said Rigo has more power. I believe Donaire is just as powerful, or more, but trying to go toe-to-toe without any respect for Rigo's power is a bad formula to getting knocked out himself. Underestimating Rigo may be Donaire's downfall. He needs to respect Rigo's power to avoid any possibility of losing. Khan had no respect for Garcia's power and look what happened. I'd hate to see Nonito lose cuz he underestimated Rigo's power. Rigo has weaknesses too which Nonito will exploit.
He won't attract much fans but he won more fans today than what he had before. That was an easy fight for him somewhat callenging but not so much.

Im a huge boxing fan! Im a big fan of Donaire. I didn't kno much abt Rigondeaux until lastnite. Nonito was completely out of his league in that fight, totaly outclass by Guillermo, Even with the KD by the flash ina 10 round, Rigon still fought a betta round 2 me. until better fights come around 4 the rest of the year. This definitely got my vote for fight of the year. I kno Donaire fan mite disagree but, Im a Donaire as well, only true boxin fan wil agree & appreciate dis fight for wat it was...
