“I just wished things had turned out differently.” sighs Ominis at the end of the game. So, that’s it, the video is about fulfilling this wish. Though I’m not sure if Ominis would approve this version either :) The first part of the video mostly retells the beginning of Sebastian’s side quest line but the ending is different.
I hope you enjoy it. I've written some clarification further, maybe you’ll find it helpful after (to avoid spoilers) watching the video.

Sebastian’s impulsiveness reminded me of that moment from the original HP stories, where Harry uses Sectumsempra on Draco. You know, an absolutely unfamiliar spell “for enemies” with unknown consequences from a mysterious book.
In a normal state of mind Sebastian would have never hurt Ominis or, after what happened with Anne, he would have never doomed anyone, never mind his best friend who he does care about, to such fate. But Anne was getting worse, the relic was his last hope, he was desperate, his mind was in a mess. He was mad at Solomon, who seemed to do his best to prevent Anne from healing.
When Ominis tried to stop him and take the relic away, Sebastian said that he won’t step back from a fight. Ominis unintentionally responded with the same words that Solomon liked to say about Sebastian, a powerful trigger. “He doesn’t know when to stop.” Sebastian’s exhausted mind interpreted it as “to stop saving Anne”, Solomon and Ominis’s images mixed up in his mind, so he lost it. His anger wanted them to feel what Anne feels. He cursed Ominis with a powerful dark spell, which he had learnt from Slytherin's spellbook by the logic “the better prepared we’ll be”. Sebastian regretted it a moment later but it was too late. Ominis had survived only because Chris (MC) had managed to get him to healers fast, but he still remained seriously ill afterwards.
Sebastian and Chris were trying to find a cure. Eventually Chris discovered that ancient magic could take away dark energy that was ruining cursed people's health. Just like Isadora did with mental pain but safer, because unlike the latter dark energy isn’t supposed to be a part of being a human. Although Chris had been avoiding Dark Magic before, he realised that now he needed to attune himself to it a little, so that he could recognise its energy in a patient (Ominis and then Anne) and extract it. And that is where Sebastian's knowledge of Dark Magic turned to be crucial, because he guided Chris.
They had managed to make a special potion, which together with ancient magic not only cured Ominis of Sebastian's curse but also had a side effect - it returned his eyesight. Let's imagine that he wasn’t born blind after all but he lost his eyesight in infancy because one of his brothers loved to fiddle with dark magic and Ominis came in handy as a training dummy. And the Gaunts covered it with a made up story about congenital disability. So when Chris rid Ominis of all the dark magic impact, it affected the eyes as well.
So, the main idea is - there would be no happiness, but misfortune helped. Sebastian did curse Ominis, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise of some kind. Though the price for Ominis' eyesight was quite high - trust in Sebastian. Hopefully, they can sort it out eventually.

For me the sequel game only has one "must have": Ominis, Sebastian and a healed Anne being in a scene, hugging each other.

Thank you for watching, I’m glad you like it! At least half of the voice lines are from the game (though they may have been used in the other context there), the rest are AI generated voices. I used ElevenLabs for it, it’s not free. As for the videos that aren't in the game - it’s mostly mods (I added the list of them to the video description) + video edit sometimes.

Если создатели игры хотели получить с этой игры прибыль, нужно было довести её до ума. И тогда бы не только фанаты, но и заядлые геймеры играли в неё.
Меня всегда удивлял момент в фильме “Дары смерти” (не помню было ли это в книгах), где Макгонагалл приказывает отвести всех учеников Слизерина в подвал. Алло, неужели наличие амбиций, креативности и хитрости автоматом делает человека злодеем?
If I understood this right, I may have a theory as to why Ancuent Magic didn't play a role in here. Most Ancient Magic, canonically speaking, we take from sites the Keepers used to control it. Therefore, we use what they left behind. We don't really start to develop our own ways of using it, perhaps only instinctively with throwing objects from the environment.(Like Charles Rookwood said, the swirls we collect from the sites help us enhance and improve our magic, not create our own moves). I feel like the next game may have us master and create our own forms of Ancient Magic. But, then again, this is my take, I could be wrong.

How did you get that shot at 0:59?! (I assume the animation is from the Animation Mods Menu, but how did you get the MC up there?!?!)
First, I got the MC to the highest part of the owlery on a broom (where it was possible to dismount), then used the Animation Mods Menu to enter coordinates with a very high Z value.

Two quwstions: Does Ominis ever actually regain his sight, and does Anne actually end up going back to Hogwarts?
I really doubt it, even if we get DLC. Well, healing Anne - maybe (but chances are still meagre), but giving Ominis his sight - nah. That would not be plausible, even for a fairytale. I just wanted this to happen at least in a fanvideo:)
And besides, I didn’t like that MC helps every random person in the game but barely does anything for their friends. Like, even if you side with Ominis, you can’t do anything to stop Sebastian. Or like when MC promised Sebastian to talk to the Keepers about Anne - and forgot about it immediately.
Alright, first, saving the world was more of a priority. But why not investigate if ancient magic can heal dark curses later, even without Keepers? Rackham didn’t have teachers as well. Ancient magic is unpredictable and complicated, all right, we get it. But we saw that it can be really beneficial, like when they saved Feldcroft from drought. Isadora chose not the best way to use it, but guns don’t kill, people do, it’s not the reason to put a taboo on ancient magic altogether. The pain is supposed to be a part of human beings? Sure, but not the pain that is caused by dark curses.
Ohh okay. I haven’t finished the game yet, so that’s why I was asking. How were you able to show Ominis getting his eyesight back if it wasn’t part of the game?
Oh, I'm sorry, it must be horrible to watch a fake happy ending first and then get how the game really ended…Many shots in this video weren't in the game, not only with Ominis' sight. Moreover, the second half of the video differs from how it ended in the game. I used mods (the list of them is in the description), video edits and AI voices to do it.
When Ominis gets his eyesight back - I recorded the Graphorn cutscene with blind Ominis (I used the mod that replaces MC's face with Ominis' + two mods to make his eyes blind), then recorded the second version with pupils (just removed the blind eyes mod) and then overlapped these two videos in the video editor.

It’s the Ravenclaw house quest, the one that introduces Richard Jackdaw if you play as a Ravenclaw. There wasn’t Ominis in that cutscene in the game tho.

Is this a mod? Please tell me this is a mod? I would LOVE to be able to play through an alternate storyline like this.
There are no mods that would allow you to change the game storyline so that you can just play through it. But of course mods are a powerful tool enabling you to TELL any story you'd like. The list of mods that I used is in the video description.
I filmed every shot as separate videos (sometimes a bit like actual film-making, when I brought the characters to the necessary locations and then, with mods or just the game resources, tried to make them do what I wanted to record it), then combined all these shots in a video editor so that together they tell the story I wanted to tell, sometimes edited some of them manually frame by frame to make them fit better. I also generated the voice lines that weren't in the game using AI (ElevenLabs in this case).

If anyone would like to write a fanfic based on this video, I would love to read it, whether it is romantic or not. However, I would have changed several details if I had written this story as fanfic. For example, Ominis' reaction to the ability to see would be obviously MUCH more complex than here. I was just limited by the game/mods resources.

This video was so cool until you cured Ominis of his blindness... Why do people always try to erase disabilities? I'm disabled myself and found it sad when you "fixed" him. You just took away a big part of who he is. A part of his identity. Please stop erasing us disabled people.
I agree with you. I'm disabled myself, have a chronic disease, spend a lot of time staying in hospitals and have had a lot of surgeries. I made this video while recovering after another emergency major surgery. Another flare-up that almost killed me. Again. I guess I needed a fairy tail where everyone could be happy. At least in the fantasy world. Not the best way to cope with it, I admit. I love Ominis blind, and I definitely wouldn't want him to be "fixed" in the game.
