I'm a grandmother of four and have done a lot of cooking over the years. Your channel is wonderful. You really should consider doing your own cookbook. I know I sure would buy it. Cooking with Kristin! God Bless. Friend from North Georgia Mountains
You can use vinegar to clean your counter. Non toxic and gets the job done. I use a 1:1 ratio and drizzle a little dish soap in it. That’s what I predominantly use for cleaning my kitchen.
Sweet Kristen, you are getting out of hand, and I'm giving you a hand and a standing ovation!!! The stroganoff looks so good, and very economical meal. That breakfast casserole is looks so cute, it's so colorful. I keep forgetting that your Dad is quite the cook... Good job 👏👏❤
I've seen shows where they food artists and do everything to make the food look appetizing. They paint the food, etc. And you're a home cook and no one is behind the scenes, painting your food and the other things they. You are one of my favorites . I've never seen cute food, but breakfast casserole was. Thanks for sharing your family and your food 💞
Kristin, I have been a vegetarian my whole life, and for some reason I’m still obsessed with these videos!! I’ve been watching them for years, & every time I see a new one pop up I get excited. I love to watch them while I eat lunch. Thanks for making these! ❤
Great recipes! You biscuits look perfect. I use wax paper to roll out my dough, the secret is to wipe the counter with a damp cloth and lay the wax paper over it. Keeps it from sliding around.
I used to watch your videos all the time. Until one day I started decorating cakes and cookies so I started binge watching a ton of cake videos. But now I'm back. I have always loved your videos !!! You and Taylor were and still are my favorites
I have a teenie tiny kitchen and I do all rolling and kneading of dough on my granite countertops. I also use disinfectant spray. I let it sit for 15 minutes after I spray and wipe to kill the germs then wipe it off with a damp cloth to remove/rinse the residue off. Works great for me
Another option I forgot to mention is to use plain water to wipe the debris off your counters then use vodka in a spray bottle as a disinfectant on your cutting boards and countertops. It will evaporate on its own and you won’t have to wipe it off. Alcohol disinfects and won’t make you sick if you eat a little.
This girl is the bomb....lol I always look forward to her videos always !! Happy Birthday to Josh !! 🎉 That was sweet of you making a dish that his mom always made him. ❤
That rice is so delicious! I use it for my fam too! You can also eliminate the chicken and add in black beans and cheddar cheese too. But sometimes I do add in bite size chicken pieces too! Mmm mmmm
I love your videos so much. My mom and I watch your videos every week for new dinner ideas. As a fellow Kentucky girl, keep the amazing videos coming!! ❤❤❤
I'm not typically interested in Beef Stroganoff, but I want to try this recipe! Also super interested in the Salsa Verde Honey Chicken. Adding that to my meal plan for next week! Thanks so much. These all look great.
Hi Kristen veen watching what's for dinner for about a year now never got tired your voice is so soothing and the recipies are divine yet realistic loads of love from india
As always everything looks delicious I will definitely try all of these thank you for sharing and giving me great ideas for different meals! Have a great weekend can’t wait to see what you have cooking next week! Beth in South Carolina Charleston!
Try a silicone baking mat on your counter. It doesn’t slip & then you just put it on the baking sheet. Not sure that there are too many residual chemicals as opposed the part you breathe in when you spray or as it evaporates. Everything looks yummy!!
My mom used to make a casserole meal with pork, white or wild rice, cream of mushroom soup and seasonings. Just a different variation of your chicken and yellow rice!
Hello! I made the chicken and yellow rice for my family last night and it was a hit! I couldn't find that brand of yellow rice, so I used a different one that was 10 oz instead of 9oz. I also left out the extra 1/2 can of cream of chicken, because I didn't want to open a new can. Mine was not as creamy as yours for those reasons, so next time, I think I'd add a little extra to improve the creaminess. It was still great - a wonderful comfort food. Thanks so much for the recipes you share!
You can clean your counter top with white vinegar as long as they aren’t stone. The acid will kill germs. I spray mine, let the vinegar sit a minute or so, then wipe dry with a clean cloth.
I just threw together the honey garlic meatballs from your previous video and I’m going to be making the potato salad from this one. Thank you for making my meal planning so much easier! Looking forward to the salsa verde chicken next!!
Try boiling your potatoes in chicken broth. It's super yummy and adds so much flavor to the dish. Also lightly spray water on your counter and then cover with plastic wrap whenever you have to knead dough… so much easier than parchment paper.
When I make biscuits or so, where I have to like roll it out on my counter, I use my silicone baking sheet underneath. It doesn't slide around and is easy to clean 😊
Sprinkling a little flour on the bacon before putting it in the oven make it blt crisp perfect bacon :) love your videos hope y’all have a great weekend!
We love potato salad and I add exactly what you have but I also add 2 chopped hard boiled eggs, it somehow just adds to the texture. Great recipes, I'm deffo going to try the Salsa Verde chicken. Thank you for sharing xx
Another score with the ideas! Thank you so much! (And quick tip, since I hate getting out and dirtying my processor, after freezing the butter for that 15 min you can use a cheese grater and just quickly grate the butter for the biscuits! )
I like using a pastry cutter with shortening, but not so much with cold butter. I've found the food processor is the most efficient way to cut butter into flour. If rolling stuff out on your counter weirds you out, consider using a large cutting board--I use wood, but marble would be even better. You're accustomed to washing cutting boards in a way that leaves them food-ready, and they eliminate the things that are bugging you about parchment paper.
She’s the only one that always seems down to earth! Most of the others have their husband in every video oohhing and awwwung about how good their food is and it just seems so fake to me!! Fallon with Moss Family TV is another that doesn’t seem fake to me! Kristen is so down to earth and you can just hear and see the love she has for her family in everything she does!! Kristen may God continue to bless you and yours sweet lady!!
No, no, no, unh unh, no she's not!!! You obviously haven't watched Julia Pacheco's channel, nor have you watched Frankie Celenza's "Struggle Meals," nor have you watched Larry Wolfe's "The Wolfe Pit." All of them offer great meals at very low budget prices because all of those cooks have "been there" financially, and they all understand how hard it is right now to make ends meet. While I no longer watch her channel, "Fit Frugal Mom" is all about feeding her family of four kids and a husband on a tight budget, and she has a lot of good ideas. I don't watch anymore only because the quantities of food she cooks is hard for me to cut down to just one or two servings (I live alone and cook only for myself), but she has some excellent recipes and ideas. Hers is more about how to buy well within budget than actual cooking, though she does that, too.
I have been making potato salad (I thought it was my recipe!) like this since 2009. I've given it out more times than I can count. I use a bag of bacon bits, so it's super easy. And I use 1/2 a diced yellow onion along with the green onion. I'm making myself hungry, LOL!
For your potatoes, add them to the pan with the bell pepper and garlic and fry them with that bacon grease even for just a couple minutes. Season them and throw them in your eggs. Heck, sometimes i just add my eggs and cheese to that pan and scramble away.
Amazing, tempting and mouth watering as always! The first recipe I’ll add to our rotation is the stroganoff. My Mom’s is delicious but a real ordeal to make! I’m looking forward to not cutting half frozen steak into tiny julienne strips and making a weird bay leaf tea to add in. Also looks good with egg noodles, Mom’s is served over white rice. All your meals looked terrific! The pork chops on buttermilk biscuits were a new one on me, I guess I’m too far north.❤
Another set of winners! The chicken and rice reminds me of No Peek chicken but way more flavorful! I wonder how that would be with some kind of crunchy topping?

You are so sweet for still watching them! I appreciate you so much 🥹💗
I like to watch them and just use plant based instead
For your biscuits, I ran my own home bakery for three years and grating your butter while frozen is the way to go. I promise you
Great recipes! You biscuits look perfect. I use wax paper to roll out my dough, the secret is to wipe the counter with a damp cloth and lay the wax paper over it. Keeps it from sliding around.
We tried the chicken rice casserole tonight. 👍👍 kid approved!

I've been subscribed to your channel for a quite awhile. I just love all the things you cook. 🙂🪻
Work your dough on a tea towel. It works great. Counter is kept clean and the towel comes out way cleaner than I thought it would.
Girl that chicken and rice was to die for! We loved it just the way you shared it! Also the baking the chicken that way makes it sooooo good!
Thanks once again for helping me out by giving me new recipes to try. 😊
I love your videos so much. My mom and I watch your videos every week for new dinner ideas. As a fellow Kentucky girl, keep the amazing videos coming!! ❤❤❤

I’m gonna have to try baking chicken like that!
Putting the crockpot chicken and beef stroganoff on the meal plan for this week. Looks so delicious! Thank you!
Try grating in your frozen butter for the biscuits.
Man! That breakfast at the end…🤤
Happy birthday to your husband and thank you for sharing this and God bless you and your family always and forever 👍🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Yum I love the breakfast for dinner. Can never go wrong with that! Hello from 🇨🇦
❤❤
Try a silicone baking mat on your counter. It doesn’t slip & then you just put it on the baking sheet. Not sure that there are too many residual chemicals as opposed the part you breathe in when you spray or as it evaporates. Everything looks yummy!!
I always use Campbells golden mushroom soup for stroganoff when I cook it. So good!
Totally agree with the pastry cutter! Best tool in the Kitchen is your hands ✋😂❤
Your voice is great for explaining your directions. Everything always looks great!
Kristen your the best..please be my personal chef for my family and I. LOL. I truly love all your recipes. You rock!!
My mom used to make a casserole meal with pork, white or wild rice, cream of mushroom soup and seasonings. Just a different variation of your chicken and yellow rice!

For my biscuits, I blend with a blending fork and roll out on a pastry mat from pampered chef. Works great every time.
Wow!!! Every recipe looked delicious Kristin!!! My aunt used to make chicken and yellow rice and I loved it!! Seeing this got me excited to make it!!
I just threw together the honey garlic meatballs from your previous video and I’m going to be making the potato salad from this one. Thank you for making my meal planning so much easier! Looking forward to the salsa verde chicken next!!
Kristin all of these seriously look so good!!! Happy belated birthday to the hubby🎉
Everything looks so good!
Thank you!!
For the biscuits, put your flour and cold butter in your food processor and pulse it a few times. It incorporates the butter perfectly with no work.
Try boiling your potatoes in chicken broth. It's super yummy and adds so much flavor to the dish. Also lightly spray water on your counter and then cover with plastic wrap whenever you have to knead dough… so much easier than parchment paper.

Great video, Kristen. Definately going to try that chicken dish. Like the way you talk, too. I'm an Alabama gal myself. Best to you and yours!
Happy Belated Birthday to your Josh🎊🎉🎊 All of these meals look Absolutely DELICIOUS!!😋 Your nails 💅are Pretty Kristin!😍😍
You need a pastry mat for your biscuits. They are made of silicone and “stick” to your counter until you peel them up.
I’ll look into it, thank you!!
@@KristinStepp i have one, works perfect for the biscuit-making but cleaning it is a pain in the a**!
Get a silicone Piecrust mat. Perfection
We all can agree that Kristen is the only one who shares food which are cheap

Thank you so much for sharing the peanut butter cheesecake recipe. I always enjoy your videos!! 😊
Def trying the salsa Verde!
That rice is the best. Love the cliantro lime on taco night too
All these recipes looked fabulous but the salad looked and chicken salsa verde looked especially good! Totally trying them!. Thank you!😊
Amazing recipes you cooked up.❤
Thank you!!
I’m very excited about that crockpot lime chicken and beef stroganoff 🤤 love you girl!! ❤
Can you show how you make your green beans please? Love your videos, thanks!!
I love a homemade biscuit! But hate to cut and reroll, so I just form the dough into a rectangle and cut squares.
10:22 I made this and it was good lol. I am the same way with the mushroom soup....can't tell at all!!! ❤❤❤ I got compliments too lol.
That breakfast casserole looks delicious! Must try!

Try swiping a damp rag on the counter under the parchment paper. Not too wet or use wax paper.
Love the meals 😋
I can’t wait to try that chicken trick. I’m gonna add broccoli and cheese to that chicken and rice bake. Super excited to make.
Totally going to try to try the chicken.
I've been watching u for so long I don't know how to cook lol but I watch u when am eating and it's so relaxing❤
