Thank you for your contributions to Mexico’s awesome and unique culinary experience Chef Bayless! My mouth is watering, and remind me of the many years I lived in Mazatlan enjoying my mom’s awesome cooking! I was so darn lucky!
Love your work Rick. As a Mexican American who’s parents are Mexican nationals I want to tell you from the bottom of my heart that I thoroughly enjoyed watching you on PBS growing up you can tell that you have a lot of respect for Mexican culture and cuisine, and do the food justice.
I love watching your videos. Try not to miss even one, but what is going on with the audio? Seems like it’s happening in all of your latest videos. So disappointing!
I was searching for the restaurant Don Emiliano's that I visited over 13 years ago in hopes that I could find the menu and the ingredients for the tomatillo salad, I can't believe that it was featured in one of your episodes!
So cool to see Margarita and Toño who would later host their own shows in the Latin American cooking Channel El Gourmet. Toño was so young yet he had that Emeril vibe already. Baja cuisine is from Tijuana to Cabo, not just Valle de Guadalupe.
Ahh, you speak the truth. The less traveled places are the best. Loreto is my favorite place on the Baja Peninsula. On the Pacific Coast side I loved Todos Santos. Rick Bayless has already made a video about that town.
This is an old video, El Chilar has been closed for quite a while. I have lived in San Jose del Cabo for 40 years and we now have some of the world's best restaurants, please come back and visit us!
I suspect most subscribers don't appreciate that eating in Baja can make eating in Manhattan seem inexpensive. It would be helpful to travelers if you provided some estimate of cost for the restaurants you review - maybe a range of prices for appetizers and for entrees. I am trying to organize a vacation in Baja and without this information these videos are significantly less useful than they could be. I was pretty amazed at the prices for Frida (assuming a 16MXN per USD exchange rate) and Edith's does not even post their prices on their online menu. I wonder why that could be?
I know many others have said it, but maybe a few more irritated replies will help. FIX THE AUDIO! Something is going wrong on a LOT of your videos, where the audio drops out for several minutes in the middle. This one stops around 6:50. Argh!
I would have to assume he is there for an extended stay and probably has a decent amount of money. The Cartels are active in all areas of Mexico now, unlike it used to be.
Seriously wtf Rick. All your latest uploads are losing their sound, and there’s no even acknowledging from you apparently. Do you even care? Even pay attention? Your name is on the tin. One would think you’d care a little.
@@randallmarsh1187 yes! I also read body language. For example, your seated posture indicates a certain sense of surrender. I suggest U2 for treatment. While not a cure, they could ease your symptoms. "Wide Awake" is a good place to start.:)
@Rick Bayliss please fix your audio, it has been hit or miss last several videos..thankyou for the beautiful meal demos, can't wait to visit Baja.
Agreed. It just stops and the video plays on. Frustrating.
I was just about to say this exact thing.

Greetings from Redondo Beach 🇺🇸. Mexican food looks delicious. Nice work. Cheers 🥂
Delicious dishes shown. Thanks, Rick. Time well spent.

Hey. What happened to the audio. 🤷♂️
Yeah! The audio got lost for a few minutes!
I thought it was my phone acting up with the sound. Im glad to know it wasn’t just me. Either way this was an awesome video.
I'm learning so much!:)
I love watching your videos. Try not to miss even one, but what is going on with the audio? Seems like it’s happening in all of your latest videos. So disappointing!
Why do all the Mexico One Plate shows have audio missing? Is that a copy right issue or technical?

What is going on with the audio?? It doesn't work half the time.
We know that your videos are very old from the archives of PBS but the audio or lack of it’s ridiculous 😂
Lost the sound again half way into the video!
Sound comes back later, drops again briefly, but returns.
So cool to see Margarita and Toño who would later host their own shows in the Latin American cooking Channel El Gourmet.
Toño was so young yet he had that Emeril vibe already.

Your The Best 👑💯☀️
The real Baja is far, far away from Cabo. Far from Ensenada too! Best Shrimp tacos I ever had was about half way between on the Pacific Coast.

Thank you.
Seems like the sounds goes away at the most interesting parts. 😂
No sound for part of the video

Can you please tell me know where they make olive oil in Baja? I'd like to know where to buy some. I live in BCS. Gracias
7:24 sound stops working 😢😮

Found Ediths on line. Probably pushing $150/pp for a full meal - that's way out of range for most
I never thought of this as a “restaurant review” show. There’s the educational component, then the cooking show part.
You’re probably looking for a travel guide aimed at tourists. There are plenty of those.
Woooow Very nice place in Tijuana greetings
🙏🙏🙏
I want that salad recipe
I dont know why but a lot of your videos the audio cuts out.

Rick we love your videos but the audio is a problem. 😢
The audio randomly cutting off makes watching this great content less enjoyable because I want to hear what they’re saying! 😢
Those are not verdolagas, they are snow peas.
Audio lately has been a crap shoot, c'mon...
how much do you pay for security to live down there? Just curious.
Why are you assuming that they need security?

Once again with the damn sound!!!! Unsubscribe!!
It sucks.
What sucks
No sound. I was watching Rick Bayless, the audio cut out like 3 times.
