      I would definitely like to see some ideas for making & attaching a bail for this too! I haven't really gotten adventurous enough yet to try to come up with a design on my own yet. I'm still learning & practicing the different stitches & I'm heavily dependent on these tutorials! Lol qqq I'm thoroughly facsinated at the designs that you & others come up with & hopefully one of these days I will figure out how you are able to do that & have it come out like you want it to. I used to make jewelry years ago but it was mostly just stringing beads & I just figured it out for myself the best I could. Wire wrapping is frustrating for me trying to manipulate it without ending up with kinks & bends & all that. I've really gotten into bead weaving though & I really appreciate all these tutorials & those of you who do such a good job explaining & showing how to do it & at the same time do a great job at filming yourself doing it! There's nothing more frustrating than seeing a beautiful finished piece & deciding to try it yourself, getting all the materials needed & then whoever is doing the tutorial can't stay in frame or doesn't have their camera in focus or goes through it so quickly that you can't see what they are doing enough to follow along. I know it can't be easy to do both of those things at the same time so I think I speak for all of us who are still learning, that it is really appreciated that you do such a great job with both

    I love right angle weave and I've been trying all kinds of methods to conquer making a bezel. Everything from beading to wire wrapping. I even tried making some paper mache bezels, but that didn't work for a necklace.
    Anyway I followed your instructions.
    They were really good instructions. Here's what happened.
    So, the stone I used was an odd cut, sort of a pear shape with a bit of attitude. A slight bend. But I love the colors. They run from cream to a medium brown.
    Anyway, everything went ok, I chose a frosted silver lined cherry red and a brown over orange and a metalic copper in 11's and since I have no 15's, but 14's and size 13 in a Charlotte cut which I figured was about the same size as the 15's you used. The charlottes were a paler shade of metalic copper.
    These are all vintage beads as back when I started learning I bought lots and lots of beads.
    The adventure has taken me a few days owing to the charlottes are not quite as uniform as the 15's, but they did fine. I had to push and mush the final row so that I could cinch the thread tight. I used nymo 00 thread. I know it means heavy weaving but back when I started beading over 40 years ago it was pretty much the thread to use.
    I've got more stones lined up to practice on. At some point I'd like to make a bezel for one of the smaller stones I have and use 14's and some of the pre ww1 itallian seed beads that look to be either size 16 or 18.
    It'll be a serious challange but I think it will be ok.
    I appologize for the long post, but your instructions helped me do something that actually looks good, it's not perfect, but it looks good. Thank you for the great instructions.

    Ok, I think this bezel tutorial was the simplest and clearest one I've seen yet! I actually did this last night and I really haven't beaded anything since the middle of last year. • @escay8434
    @escay8434 3 года назад +2

    Hi Gina I have a question. I made a piece using one of your designs and someone requested to purchase it. I sold it and now have other persons asking me to make a piece for them. Same color etc.
    I declined. In your guidance to subscribers you said we can sell pieces we make from your tutorials. I interpreted this as making a piece then I can sell. I'm not doing this commercially I just use the money to get more beads to feed my bead addiction😅. What I have noticed however, is some creators specify use of patterns and tutorials for personal use. My interpretation of that is make a piece for yourself possibly gift etc but not to mass produce. I also know that you sell your pieces in your store.
    Given that I post the pieces I make (giving full credit of course) and people are often interested what are the limits/feeling about your followers making more than one piece of your design and selling them to persons who ask.
    Thanks in advance.

    • @ORCHIDandOPAL
      @ORCHIDandOPAL  3 года назад

      You are so thoughtful to ask this question! I am totally cool with you producing multiple pieces of my tutorials to sell, and if you are able to give credit somewhere that it's an Orchid and Opal design, if possible, that's much appreciated. 💜💜💜 I am mainly concerned with the copying of video content, and recreations of my tutorials and patterns for distribution on social media under other accounts, unique tutorials being copied, selling of copied patterns, etc. Again, thank you so much for thoughtfully asking about this!

    • @ORCHIDandOPAL
      @ORCHIDandOPAL  2 года назад

      Yup, it is! That's part of the process...it cinches up as the steps progress, and hug the stone just right. :) Thanks for watching!
