- Today I am using two colors that will be blown into each other for a base color, and will then be puddling yellows on top and blow the colors across the canvas. The piece is nature inspired, and this design went for a diamond shape pattern. You will see how the colors infuse and merge to create such beautiful tones.
Thank you for being here today. Welcome to all newbies and a big welcome back to those of you who already know me and my work. Great to have you here with me.

Really pretty and super interesting
Thank you! 😊
Lovely.
Thank you so much ☺️
Hello Mark
Thank you so much Agnes - I really appreciate your kind words of support and encouragement- I’m so happy I tried this color combo
Beautiful job !!❤🌹❤
Big thanks 🙏
Congratulations Mark, this painting turned into for me an “I am not sure “ piece to an Amazing creation. The unique colour combination and the finger swipe created an astonishing piece of artwork ❤❤❤love it . Greetings from 🌏 Australia
Thank you so much Suzanne 😀
Mark, I only recently discovered your art and must say you are truly gifted. Every piece I have seen offers something very different and captivating while remaining simple. I am now a huge fan and will eventually watch all of your videos and hope to improve my art.
Wow, thank you so much ☺️ That’s very kind and generous of you to say! Made my day. Thank you 🤩
Hello Mark!! 🥰 I love this piece. I never thinking mix pink with black for a backgrown 🤔 But the dutch pour are really beautiful. I love also the ghost section between these two colors. 💗🖤💗 When you have put the bright puddle yellow, i was surprise. But when you have do the finger swipe on the yellow, 💛💛 i have change my idea and i really love it. Many finger swipe and the painting becomes more and more beautiful on each step. 🤩 The result is sooooo pretty. The dry result are perfect.
You have win with this palet color, dear Mark. 😉
Good week-end to you !! 🤗🌈
Thank you Caroline, you’re so kind. Have a fab weekend xx
Love it ❤❤❤
Thank you Jeanette 🤩🙏
You made a believer out of me! I was a little skeptical about the colors but, as always, you nailed it!! This is very unusual and very pretty!! Thanks for sharing!🖤🩷💛
Thank you so much! ☺️
Beautiful!!😍❤️
Thank you!! 😊
Very cool.
Thank you 🤩
Bellissimo 😍
Thank you so much ☺️
I so much love this one. I have to try this. Gorgeous
And the base. Exquisite. Love this mix.
You should! Thank you 🤩
I would but I paint in the garage. Very cold here in Minnesota. 31*
My mother doesn’t like the smells so can’t paint indoors. I care for her. But I shared all my favorites to do in the spring.
Love it thanks
So glad! 😌
I need back to London and need visit your Studio ❤ Love your canvas always
Thank you 🙏
This is absolutely gorgeous. What a great idea to.use pink and black as the base colours. The technique you're using is fascinating. The finger swipe really is the special trick. I could imagine to have some nice couch pillows with the design of this piece 🖒💖
Also, I'm curious about what it would look like if you played with a marble. Could be a nice outcome, too...
Thanks for sharing your videos. It's always so much fun to watch you create
Yay thank you so much Michaela- you know what, maybe trying the marble would make a great addition- thank you 🤩
@@MarkJRatcliffeArt I would definitely enjoy to see the marble roll 😆
very nice 😍👍❤
Thank you 🤗
You're so incredibly talented. I honestly would have never thought of the pink and black base but now I've got to try it. Awesomeness
Wow thank you so much that means a lot 🤩
@@MarkJRatcliffeArt can I as a crazy question? You mentioned that the base was a tad thicker, is the piur colors the same or thinner?
@@kymholcomb7534 I would say the base and the pour colors were the same but all of it’s thicker than a dutch pour consistency x
@@MarkJRatcliffeArt you said something about ideas for a pour. What about the ghost swipe of black and pink if you could try a black and light green. I don't have those pearlescent colors but I do have pearl colors?
@@kymholcomb7534 fab idea!! I like that suggestion 🤩
Nuostabus darbas,aciu labai❤❤
Thank you so much ☺️
One more so awesome creation! The background is really so pretty!!! ❤
Thank you so much Lydia 💛💖
❤

Wow thank you so much for your kind words and all of your support and encouragement
@@MarkJRatcliffeArt Jums Aciu, nes as bandau is Jusu mokytis❤️
Wonder what would happen if you did this with the pearl paints.... Black base mostly with a hint of a darker complimentary color in it... That works with the pearl paints too... Hummmmm.... Maybe i will try that too...lol
Funny you should say that because guess what one of my future releases will be….. exactly that 🤩🙏
@@MarkJRatcliffeArt i just lol'd. At this point in time...i would say creative minds think alike....i cant wait!!!!!!!
Very beautiful. In spring that would look good with some greens as background and the yellow puddles blown out as duffodils or tulips in yellow and Red.
Thank you so much! Great idea!
Beautiful black and pink ! I think for a dutch pour the paint is too thick … it’s just my point of view 😅
Thank you 🤩 Yes I made it thicker to allow minimal cell reaction and maintain solid color 👍🏻
Bonjour Mark c'est magnifique vous n'utilisez pas du tout de silicone dans vos peintures ?merci😊❤
Thank you so much. No, no silicone 👍🏻
@@MarkJRatcliffeArt thank you so much 😉
@@lilianeroucher3900 my pleasure 😇
@@MarkJRatcliffeArt une autre petite question :que pensez-vous du médium fait avec de la colle ? Car le floetrol coûte quand même assez cher ? Merci
@@lilianeroucher3900 apologies Google can’t translate your question (sorry!) but the pouring medium is Owatrol 1:3 paint to PM
You never seem to sign your name to your art. Why not?
I do, but on the back. If I did it on the front it restricts the buyer from hanging it in a direction that they prefer. I think with abstract art it’s down to the eye of the beholder how they hang it.
