Camping as a little girl 50+ yrs ago, and my dad would ALWAYS make us leave the campsite cleaner than what we found it. Taught me a lot about respecting nature. Thank you for reading the information in that pamphlet to us in this video. Definitely a teachable moment for some that might never hear those things from someone else. ❤️

Growing up next to a canal in South Florida, I never cared for using weight. Bream usually went nuts on the bait as it was falling.
One of the best and easiest baits for panfish was biscuit dough from those tubes in the refrigerated section of Quick-Chek. (Remember them?) Once they warmed and dried to just the right consistency they formed a perfect little ball to pinch onto your hook. They stayed on well, and one biscuit went a long way.
I spent many a Saturday morning with my best friend rowing up and down the canal, looking for those clumps of cattails or overhanging trees. Bream for days, as well as shad (we called 'em shiners) back in the '60s.
I have been watching sense day one and the videos keep getting better and better. Keep up the great work

I always kept a couple pieces of plywood laid flat out in the barnyard. I would just lift the wood up and have instant worms available. The nearest bait shop was probably five miles away. A BMX bike was kinda slow.

There is some good fishing from the pier there. At least when I was there last week. Redfish, sharks and nice Jack Crevelle caught on Live pinfish.

Hey Smalls, really enjoy all the videos keep them coming! Really would like to see you do like a two day camp out where you only eat what you catch (besides the basic stuff to be able cook and like sides for it), maybe take AYO or wasn't it your nephew you did the catch 50 fish.

I'm guessing you knew the species of snake or at least were able to tell that it was a non venomous youngster. Made me a bit sad though. I have a 16 year old corn snake and he's chill af. I also have an 8 year old corn, along with a 6 year old Kenyan sand boa. If you're not familiar with sand boas look em up lol they are some of the silliest looking snakes. The Arabian sand boa is even goofier. I'm sorry for ranting on your comment section.
Also what's really cool is that there is a handful of them that just eat the venomous ones.

Not a fan of snakes by any means, but it's weird that you can impale a live snake on a hook (later mutilating its body) and feel nothing, but then when you catch a bass or something you treat it with the upmost respect like it's some kind of revered animal. Just uncanny.
Awesome video, but I'd be careful using snakes as bait. It can be very illegal, depending on the species. Don't want to catch a charge for using a protected species.
