Buenísimo 👏
Thank you!!
Your warm up arpeggio exercise really helped me with practicing major triad arpeggio shapes. What would a minor triad arpeggio shape look like for each pair of strings 1&2, 2&3, 3&4 etc.
Great suggestion!
I’ll get to it.
Can you please fix your tip jar link in the description of each of your videos? It's not working as a link.
I think I fixed the recent videos. Did not realize it was not working. Thanks

I don’t have one for @domsguitar. But I will look into it. Great idea.
Thanks
@@domsguitar that worked. Thanks for the inspiration.
So to stay in key with any chord progression, are you paying attention to each chord and playing an arpegelation of the triad of that chord relying on the muscle memory of those triad shape while moving positions up and down the neck. In other words, do i need to memorize my triads and know how to quickly grab those notes in each triad for painting a lead over each chord once i figure out the chords? Or am i over thinking it?
You are never overthinking it! But you have to get it to the point where it doesn’t sound like you’re thinking about it and it just happens! Some good ways to do that are to sing it as you’re doing it and or visualize what it will sound like before you get to a note or a phrase.
Part of why I like to play the chords as part of the video is to show where they are. Those are the golden notes I want to try to accent. (Even if they aren’t in the chord shape).
Triads, scales, shapes, arpeggios, licks, and progressions are all tools that we use to create melodies and solos. The more you know all of them the easier it is to create meaningful (in key) sounding music.
The thinking never stops, and we are never done learning! The muscle part is to keep our fingers limber and working in conjunction with our brain. So I guess the short answer is yes you need to learn it. Or don’t and just play what sounds and feels good and have fun!
Thanks for asking!
@@domsguitarI think the reason I haven't progressed is because I haven't challenged myself to think about what I'm playing. You got me thinking. Thanks. For a couple of years now I just played what sounded cool. I downloaded tabs and easy chords from UG for Elvis songs I could sing to my mom when she was in assisted living. That was cool. I know chord shapes but I don't know the triads in each chord. Yet.
Do you have brothers or a sister?
Yes
