We in America actually fucking loathe highways, and resent the naturally destruction and community destruction they caused, the Chinese state pedal "look at how we're wasting a large portion of over 50%pf the worlds cement and steel production" may've impressed 1950s imperialist, it's very much not with the times of the anthropocene being an essential threat
