it's good to see someone else knows how to properly tuneup a rochester quadrajet. I'm the only one left where I live. none of my friends or family know anything about this
@@nachomax1639 I remember him! I think he helped me too like 20 years ago with a camshaft. Is he still on Classical Pontiac, Performance Years, or Pontiac Street Performance website?
A Quadrajet paired with the Muncie M22 must be heaven. You can cruise around on the primaries with the transmission still quiet, then hit the gas and now you're making all kinds of noise lol.

Those big secondaries came online nice and smoothly just like they should. Great tuning/timing of the choke pull-off!
I have to thank Jeff "Shaker455" from the Pontiac forums for doing a great job rebuilding and repairing this carburetor.

@@briansd2772 he's on the Performance Years Forum. He's a great guy. I'm not sure about the other forums.

Those secondaries open perfectly.
Thnak you! I have tuned it to open them a bit quicker and feels a lot better.
@@nachomax1639 That one second pull off release time looks like it's working pretty good!
You can’t beat a well tuned Quadra jet
Still love that sound,my 76 Cadillac Eldorado 500ci with the quad love it
Maybe one day the ones that are on my 80s model square body trucks will work that good.
I look forward to hearing that sweet sound when i get my q-jet carburetor.
I remember the kick when you stomped the gas pedal in my 67 gto.
5600 rpm on a 455 Pontiac
Sounded great but I heard a lot more exhaust note than intake.
BAD ASS!
What kind of rpm's was it pulling?
Ok thanks, like the vid.
not a goat... 1968 Firebird... first gen bird ;-)
I was going to guess '69 Firebird. I was close.
Toiletchester Quadraflush

someone can't tune
Thats not a quadrajet. That's an Edelbrock.
Anthony Palumbo you mean it's not a Rochester. It's a Quadrajet!
Thanks for playing!
