1980 Sony Betamax SL-5800 Time Commander

Repairing a Sony SL-5800. Really just a good cleaning and work out of the VCR since it had been dormant for years. This one has a working remote as well.

Hi, I have SL-5400, when I insert a cassette, nothing moves. the Betamax does turn on and the head (motor) moves a little when turning on the equipment. what can be wrong?

That was more the 70's but this model is from 1980 so a borderline case.
