Great video, this channel's underrated. Been thinking of considering Loughborough. I'm a year 12 student right now so even though I have a good year til I'll be going Uni this is helpful.
Hey mate I just went through their pages and saw if anyone wants to join the cricket team, they must have a country experience but I am not from England. So how will this go on?
There are many Loughborough team and I would be surprised if they all require country experience, possibly county experience. Plus, I expect country experience can be from any country, not just England. I hope this helps, when are you looking to join Loughborough?
Have you ever heard of people changing accommodations a few weeks into uni? got Harry French for first year next year but that was no where near first choice unfortunately
Yes this does happen. If you keep in contact with the accommodation centre, they may be able to give you opportunities of moving room/hall if somebody else wants to move as well. It’s like an exchange system. Good luck and hopefully you end up staying somewhere you prefer.
Thank you for all that you have provided. My question, brother, is if I practice CrossFit, weightlifting, and other sports related to fitness and flexibility, what information can you provide me regarding this university in relation to these sports that you mentioned?
Thank you. There are teams at Lough for weightlifting etc. when you come here make sure to go to the sport bazar or go online and enquire about joining the relevant sport (AU) teams. Plus, if you join the gym you can practice these, and also join classes which are run by the trainers at the gym. You will certainly have enough opportunities to develop your fitness and flexibility. Hope this helps.
Thank you, I don't think you can in the same year. But, if you perform really well in IMS you will be selected for IMS All Stars at the end of the year. The you can trial again next year, and by then some of the coaches might know who you are which would be useful. Best of luck.
I'm moving in on the 25th and I'm quite excited, thanks for the general review, any tips for what websites to use for revision, and just learning, obviously it varies from subject to subject but just curious what you would recommend?
Hi, all the learning material will be on a website called Learn, so you can use all of your revision from there. And that should cover all the content and more as there will be additional reading material on there with the reading list. This will all become clearer when you join. Hope this helps and look forward to seeing you around.
Cheers mate. The course is good, my interest certainly grew overtime. In the first year it will mainly be an introduction to a lot of topics. So even if you didn’t study some of it at a level, if you turn up you should be fine.
This video was really useful, I'm a year 12 student thinking of applying. Does it offer opportunities to play a mainstream sport without playing competitively or for halls, I've played netball for 6 years and I'd say I'm quite good but probably not good enough to get into those teams.
Glad the video was useful. Yes there is social sport, which is non-competitive. But there is no harm in trying out for halls and uni teams with netball. Even if you don’t get in, just take it as good experience.
hey I'm going there for engineering - I'm debating for Rutherford or Royce i wanted to ask is do you know anyone who brought their whole gaming pc and monitor coz its super super important
Hi there mate, good luck with the engineering. Royce and Rutherford are basically the same thing so I wouldn’t worry about that (we’re better at sport though). Lots of people have taken monitors, TV, PC, consoles etc. with them, so yeah it’s fine.
@@SpencerWalker-Pritchard thanks soo much it helps a lot I recommend you to make video about your freshers experience study tips and other stuff people like me wanna be prepared for the adventure so why not guide us to it
Hi, great video, your channel should be more popular than it is. As someone who's most likely also doing ppe at loughborough from september, do you have any advice on specific parts of the syllabus to brush up on to be as ready as possible before the term starts ?, again, amazing video, was really helpful
Cheers mate, really appreciate it. Most modules are introductions, so economics for me was mostly a revision of a level. I wouldn’t worry too much, just turn up, do the readings, do the assignments and you’ll breeze the first year.
About 750 people tryout, split into about 25 11 a side games. Then it goes to call backs which is about 150 people, then they make their decision on the 25. The trials are just matches.
thanks for the honest review, really helpful as an international student I’ve been considering on going there for my masters
No problem, glad you found the video useful.

Glad the video was helpful mate, and cheers for the comment, the channel has got big plans this summer. Good luck with A-Levels and everything.
@@SpencerWalker-Pritchard Cheers lad, appreciate it and just booked an open day for Loughborough!
just got into loughborough yesterday 😅
Congrats, see you around
I’m surprised they would let Andrew Tate into the Uni
Your best decision. You won't regret it!!
My son got accepted for Architecture in 2025, looking forward to it
Send my congrats, look forward to seeing him around next year
Sounds like an amazing Uni. Especially, with cooked meals on offer.
i’ve just finished my first year, and i agree with the sport thing, i’ve played netball my entire life and the AU teams wouldn’t even look my way
my big sister was a lsu president there she was also managing radio its a really cool university!
Iam planning to do my master's in laughbourogh but the fees is high for me that's the thing iam thinking of 👌

Hi great video! Just wondering if it’s possible to progress from ims to au teams if you’re good enough

Hoping to be coming this September, in terms of the football how frequent is training for the competitive teams
For Halls it isn’t very frequent to be honest 😂.
But if you can play for the Uni, I think they train once a week and have matches. But not 100% sure.
Cheers for that also would u recommend self catered or catered and what is a typical menu for catered looking like
@@Allenv10 I prefer catered, but it's up to you really. The meals are very different depending on the day.
Class video mate. What's the PPE course like ; starting it in September.

What do you think of Towers Hall ?
I don’t really know much about it mate, apart from that it’s catered 7 days a week and that it’s hard to look at without my eyes burning.

Hi Spencer, Great video and very informative. Can a non catered student buy meals in catered halls on an ad hoc basis?
Hi there mate, cheers for the comment. Yes you can buy meals when you want if you’re not in a catered hall. Not sure how much they cost though.
