I highly recommend taking amateur radio licence to all preppers the foundation licence is fairly easy There's a lot more to radio than just talking like antennas how to use repeaters ect Good video fella

This will be a critical tool when when mobile and landline phones etc have ceased to provide a service. When not in use protection from Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP)whether from nearby lightening strikes, Coronal Mass Ejections (CME)or high altitude nuclear bomb bursts (NEMP or HEMP; nomenclature is country dependent) is easily achieved by keeping crucial electronic kit like radios or Geiger Counters in a Faraday cage. The cage can be simple wrapping in aluminum foil or a metal or fine metal mesh container where all parts are electrically connected i.e. no paint or other form of insulation on the joints.
