‘Series of vulnerabilities’ discovered in solar power systems

- Bitdefender Director of Threat Research Bogdan Botezatu says he has discovered a “series of vulnerabilities” in cloud infrastructure for solar power systems.
“We were able to hijack devices that would not belong to us and we started looking at how big this infrastructure is,” he told Sky News Australia.
Reportedly, around 20 per cent of the world’s solar-powered output has been vulnerable to a cyber attack.

@@eb2505unfortunately Chinese inverters make a lot of EMF interference. So you might wanna upgrade to a better quality one.

I think a grid needs about 60% base load power to enable stable synchronisation of the 50hz power cycle. This means total or even a majority of renewables is a pipe dream. Are you listening Mr Bowen?

Hail stones, clouds & related environmentals, Electrical Series Resistance, Insertion Losses, Natural Panel degradation! Just to name a few!
Panel degradation is a very overlooked item as buyers believe what the salesman says and not what the warranty says. Expect degradation from day 1.

Almost all of Australia's solar panels come from Chyna.
Mine are from Germany same with the other parts of my solar system.
@@dawsie "Almost all" are supplied to Australia from Chyna. You need to consider that much of the renewables infrastructure that was once made in Europe is now made in Chyna. It bares the European name but is built in a country that does not have the same level of regulations.

There are enough fossil fuel reserves on Earth to last for several centuries and plenty of uranium and thorium for nuclear fission power plants. Fast breeder reactors are being developed in Russia and India. They convert Uranium 238 to Plutonium 239 which is good reactor fuel.

Nuclear is far more riskier than wind or solar.
What do the statistics say? Look up deaths per TWh of energy produced. Nuclear is the second safest form of generation behind a solar panel and it’s safer than wind.
