It basically switches between the different bodys of the characters and the characters are aware of that but it is normal for them. They know about the other servers. But when MCC starts the characters different "bodys" merge and all skills and memories combine to one person that then plays in a team against the other merged characters to test their strengh after a while of collecting and gaining more skills on the different servers. Wow, this was quite long...
