Thank you for this easy and perfect battery change. You have saved me about $75 of money and I have not went to either dealership or to key copy shop for battery replacement. You saved me so much thank you.
Thanks for the video. If you’re in a bind don’t get the Duracell, the idiots packaged it with sealed plastic that is impossible to open without scissors.
This video is a lot more helpful than the last one that I tried because they didn't have very good lighting so I couldn't see the tiny little notch and how to open the whole keep Bob as well as I can with this video thank you very much for paying attention and I love how Kitty is helping you This video is a lot more helpful than the last one that I tried because they didn't have very good lighting so I couldn't see the tiny little notch and how to open the whole keep Bob as well as I can with this video thank you very much for paying attention and I love how Kitty is helping you Believe that people who like cats are good people because cats are very discerning
Thank you twice - didn't see how to open fob. Also i wondered what to do with a dead fob - the old Priuses had a slot to plug them in. I didn't know that a dead fob could be held against the start button. Read the manual!!
Thank you for doing this video. Your a Mr fix-it kind of guy I see you've done all sorts of other instructional videos, and reviews. Awesome! Subscribing to your channel now. Aug 8th 2023 SLC Utah.
A bit fidgety - but I prevailed - and got the thingy open and changed the battery and back together - Wow! Thank you! Next time I'll be a pro! (had to change the battery in my bathroom scale - and had to use a teeny tiny Phillips head - and did that, too.
Very well explained, thanks. But if I put in a Grundig CR2032 with 3,3V the key does not work. With the original Panasonic CR2032 with only 2,892 V it does still work. My Nissan Primera went 15 years with the same battery. Here replacement is already needed after 3 years ? I don't know what is wrong ...
Good video. One word of caution. Try avoiding touching the battery on the side opposite of the printed side. The oils from your finger can interfere with proper operation of the battery. Those type batteries can be very sensitive to contamination. Also be aware of buying batteries online, especially from 3rd party sellers on Amazon who are notorious for selling expired or defective batteries.
Please be aware that some 2015 Priuses take CR1632 batteries. I bought the 2032 on your advice and finally managed to get the case open (it wasn't exactly as your video explained), only to find that the 2032 was far too large.
I am the original owner of a 2015 Prius (manufacture date on door sticker (04/15) that I drove off the Toyota dealer's lot brand new. I mention this because my OEM remotes, although similar, are not the same that you show in your video. You basically open the devices the same way, but the big difference from your remote is that the battery replacement is a CR 1632 3v and not a 2032. Because the 2032 has a much wider diameter than the 1632, it will not fit. Although somewhat helpful, the title (2015-2019) to this video is not accurate and using this for reference for a new battery is just misinformation. Are you a contributor to Faux News?
One of the best tutorials. You didn't talk about yourself for 10 minutes, you got right to it without needless information. THANK YOU.
Great vid. No intro, no life story. Exactly what we needed: what it is, what you’ll need, what to do and how to close.
like the new info about starting the car with the metal key
Thank you for this easy and perfect battery change. You have saved me about $75 of money and I have not went to either dealership or to key copy shop for battery replacement.
You saved me so much thank you.
Not only a very thorough and helpful video, but a great guest appearance by your cute cat!
Thanks so much for posting this. After watching the video it took seconds to replace the battery.
I think the cat sold the video for me. Good post.
Lol
Thanks for your video. I dont understand why people dislike someone's good intentions 😕 😒.
probably ppl that work or own a dealership!!! 😭😭😭
Thank you- I couldn't figure how to get the battery free of the clips. You showed me!
Thank you! You saved me 180 miles from going to the closest Toyota dealership. Both of my fobs were dead😮
Thanks. Very clear and easy to follow. Also, I loved the cameo.
Your video is just what I needed. Thank you. The dealership charges a minimum of $50 to change the battery. What a rip-off!
Thank you SO much! I would have never figured this out on my own
Much better than the Toyota instructions.
Thanks for the video. If you’re in a bind don’t get the Duracell, the idiots packaged it with sealed plastic that is impossible to open without scissors.
The batteries are sealed in such a way that the package could survive anything, except being opened easily. WTF!!

Having driving multiple prii. The 2008 prius had a key slot. The later models have sensor next to the push start.
Really well explained. I swapped my battery in less than 10min while being really slow to don't mess anything. Thank you so much ! :D
2:40 for the best part
Thanks! Very useful, saved a trip to the dealer! Love the ‘helpful’ cat!
Just want to say thank you for making this video. This helped me replaced my key's battery and saved some money :D.

Can cat tell by sniffing if battery is good?
😆
Thanks

awesome. Thank you
thank you!
My key has the switch on the side but o push it and the other half lifts up but the key doesn’t come out. Any tips?
Thanx for sharing
Thanks.
The plastic bits on the fob is broken and won't let the battery in. Can I fix this?
I have a 2016 V. Wrong battery for me. I need a 3V CR1632
My wife's 2015 Toyota Prius FOB uses a CR 2016 battery NOT a CR 2032
can't see main deatail, some writings in the middle of the screen
attention, sur Prius 4, il faut aller au garage, sinon la clé ne fonctionne plus.
Kitty!!!
I hope you've trimmed those weird nails
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@SterlingW8 also...thank you for the video

... glad you found the right battery and that you were able to open the key fob. Good luck!
Thank you very much!
Thanks bro. But clip those fucking nails. Damn!
My battery lasted three years
Sounds about right
Good video. Just a polite suggestion. Plz cut your nails regularly. Men do not look nice with them and its not very hygienic.
Get away
왠만하면 손톱좀 자르지...남잔거 같은데..
