I would hardly say that the sketch up being a different color is definitive proof that Mario didn’t do it. After all he could’ve dipped himself in black paint to disguise himself. Additional Mario came to Isle Delfino on Peach’s private airplane, meaning that any proof that he was on that flight could easily be forged since it would go through Mushroom Kingdom before reaching Isle Delfino. I think we need another day of trial and an investigation phase to go along with it.

Well, this is the first time I ever saw anything like this. Kinda makes me wonder why Nintendo didn't even think through how the trial would turn out. The thing that ticked me off the most about the trial was the pianta judge just overruling Peach's objection just as if she said nothing. I mean, what kind of BS is that? What kind of judge just overrules an objection without hearing what the objectionee has to say BEFORE either overruling or sustaining? What happened to listening to all sides of the story? What happened to "innocent until proven guilty"? If there's one thing I can't stand about court cases is when a trial becomes a "kangaroo court" trial. This trial may as well be one of the most infamous scenes in Mario history. But, after letting out that steam, I have to say this was a good video to watch. I quite like who you made Phoenix Wright put those idiotic piantas in their place. Something that clearly should have happened in the first place in Sunshine.
I agree with everything in this comment except for one thing. “Innocent until proven guilty” is how courts are handled in the USA In Japan, however, where Mario Sunshine was made, the courts are “guilty until proven innocent” just like in the Ace Attorney games. In fact, the Ace Attorney games were literally originally created as satire of that ridiculous mentality That’s probably why Mario’s trial in the actual Mario Sunshine was such a disaster
This was an amazing crossover I never asked for but didn't know I needed. The art is superb and love Phoenix's outfit! Also totally with the audience member who wants to make a courtroom battle game lol. Awesome work! Looking forward to your next video!
You, my friend, have made the best fan content I have ever seen. Everything about this was blended to absolute perfection, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
You know I was watching a super Mario sunshine video when I got this notification. Everyone talks about how this trial is a shame and how Phoenix would prove Mario not guilty in no time. So when I saw this notification I knew it was going to be great and I was not disappointed. I have been a fan of your channel and what I love is the amount of effort you put into each one. From Phoenix’s summer outfit and all of the exclusive art assets of the piantas to the remixed ace attorney music. I also loved the inclusion of ghost trick music as I beat the game a few months ago and I loved the soundtrack. I loved the case itself but I loved most was the audience. All of their comments made the video from references to the games and characters to that one piantawho was on his switch. It’s kinda like how let’s players sometimes make up funny lines for the audience and I loved it here as it adds so much character to the court. Another thing I love is how you use the same jokes that you find in the comment section over and over again and make them funny like the kid who asked for a Phoenix Wright. Overall this was a great video that made me laugh over and over again and it was cool to finally see Phoenix Wright defend Mario in this case. I will just say continue making great videos and being a great part of this fan base. And I end it off by saying OPEN SALAMI.
2:12 Prosecutor: "Who even are you?! And why do I hear Final Boss Music?! Person in the background: "Because you're screwed up man." Me: "This video is perfection"
Perhaps the real truth is when Mario says Open Salami, what he’s really saying is that it’s Open and Shut. An open and shut case! Mario is pleading for his innocence.
Mvk: This trial shall be over in three minutes. Phoenix: I'm gonna turn this trial around in less than 4 minutes! Me: You have become what you swore to destroy.
This is absolutely brilliant. Well-made, the nonstop gallery comments with tons of in-jokes that distract and make me pause and rewind a lot but they’re worth it. And a famous court case I can’t believe hasn’t been addressed before. I know so many talented people are out there making content these days, but this is a cut above most and is basically magic.
5:11 Hold it! How has Zero taken a job as a Prosecutor? He's too busy with his Maverick Hunter work in one timeline and you know, being dead/ a Biometal in the other timeline.

This is an alternative timeline where the 2 worlds collide and Phoenix Wright and Mario become best buds defending innocent people and putting away the evil people to jail.

These type of comments kind of reminded me of the V3 final chapter (not the white noises, but the comments in the background)
Who knows, maybe Mario took Edgeworth hostage to force Phoenix for a not guilty verdict... 😁
The "voices of the outside world" from Danganronpa V3 also
"i hate these lawyers. should i make a country about this?"
and then spirit of justice happened
e x a c t l y
This (again) proves the level of quality on this channel. Just...
The sprites, the dialogue, all the nods and references in the commentary - it's all so creative and perfectly composed.
Like man, whenever you upload, you deliver!
Most underrated youtuber ever
Mario would end up cleaning anyway probably while he waited, but damm now i want to see crossovers of different games where phoenix defends different nintendo characters
Ace Attorney: Our trials are the fastest in the world, they are soved in 3 days.
Mario Sunshine Court: * trials lasts like 1 minute * R U SHO 'BOUT DAT!?
Ace attorney: yes, CUZ YOUR TRIALS ARE STRAIGHT UP TRASH, THEY AREN’T EVEN FAIR
Excluding Spirit of Justice where they witness the victim's death through their own eyes and then make their verdict just from that
@@malkinternetflavor7253 neither are the ace attorney trials
I read dog man and when Dog Man was framed, the trial was implied to end before it even started
Even Manfred von Karma's minimum time is _three_ minutes.
Prosecution: "why do I hear final boss music??"
**Phoenix wright has entered the Chat**
This is actually amazing with the hard work put into this! SUPAH NOICE
Only one landing strip on isle delphino ;) pull up records and see what planes/people landed
theclingyfox but they didn’t go through any kind of security when they landed. In fact the strip was completely cover in paint monsters. Perhaps a cover up by Mario. Also how do you explain why the perpetrator looks exactly like Mario?
@@Random-yg1fi have you.... played sunshine? at all?
@@somerandomsonicfan8479 I was about to say, I don’t think you can really argue that Mario is guilty in Sunshine
He knows that Mario is innocent, he's just playing along with the theme of the video.
Ngl the "substance" looks like milk chocolate and white chocolate mixed together

Nice attention to detail, "Mario Mario"
From the Mario Movie.
Luigi Mario is very happy.
the defendant's verdict is, *open salami*
Mario opens a can of salami
*Confetti rains down*
God the murmurings from the pianta jury is just beautiful.
2:14 "Humans look hot ngl."
2:49 "Mom I want a Phoenix Wright." "We have one at home."
3:40 "Don't mind me, I'm playing bug fables on my Nintendo switch."

Love the use of Ghost Trick music.
“Innocent until proven guilty” is how courts are handled in the USA
In Japan, however, where Mario Sunshine was made, the courts are “guilty until proven innocent” just like in the Ace Attorney games. In fact, the Ace Attorney games were literally originally created as satire of that ridiculous mentality
That’s probably why Mario’s trial in the actual Mario Sunshine was such a disaster
“Did you know that she is peach toadstool, the princess of the mushroom kingdom?”
*i mean im playing origami king so yes..?*
2:12
Prosecutor: "Who even are you?!
And why do I hear Final Boss Music?!
Person in the background:
"Because you're screwed up man."
Me: "This video is perfection"
"I really hate these lawyers... I should make a country about that."
ohno.
Now this makes me want to have a:
Phoenix Wright: Sunshine Attorney game
Perhaps the real truth is when Mario says Open Salami, what he’s really saying is that it’s Open and Shut. An open and shut case! Mario is pleading for his innocence.
This is beautiful, thank you.
This video is criminally under-viewed. You should have at LEAST a million views by now, honestly. XD
Thing is, even if cleared beforehand, Mario would still probably clean the island. He's an adventure seeker like that.
Mvk: This trial shall be over in three minutes.
Phoenix: I'm gonna turn this trial around in less than 4 minutes!
Me: You have become what you swore to destroy.
What an amazing work once again ! What a surprise to see the mario sunshine court turn into Phoenix Wright style.
I'd imagine that mario decides to help clean up the paint anyway after this
6:26 thank you for using the closing argument track from dai gyakuten saiban. it's one of my favourites
This is so nice!! I love the music and how it really took on the vibes of Mario super sunshine!!
Majestic. A cross-over nobody asked for but everyone wants. This channel surprise me everytime, keep working on! (Bella davvero)
This is Objectivly one of the BEST Mario\Ace attorney videos I have ever seen.
For a joke, this had a LOT of effort and love put into it. Great job!
The background commentary makes this 100000 times better.
Also good job on the custom "sprites"
The only criticism I have is that this court takes proof of innocence as enough to render a not guilty verdict. Phoenix has never had it that easy.
5:11 Hold it! How has Zero taken a job as a Prosecutor? He's too busy with his Maverick Hunter work in one timeline and you know, being dead/ a Biometal in the other timeline.
That's actually a reference to OP's fangame, Ace Prosecutor Zero.
Phoenix on Sunshine style outfit looks DOPE!!
"Objection!" "Overruled"
Peach: oh ok
I don't know what I like more. The animation and scripting, or the epic Delfino version of the Ace Attorney music.
You're amazing. I swear, every new video of yours is just 100% genius. I love you.
This is so well edited that makes me angry that doesn't have more views
Why this video doesn't have millions of views? Seriously
Phoenix Wright in a sleeveless suit. My God.
Very well done for this montage! You did such an amazing work!!! Exactly how I would imagine if both had a crossover during the turnabouts of Sunshine 👏🏻
The Prosecutor's name is Feld Threes. See if you can figure out what it means. Edit: Glad at least some of you guys got it. The pun is Felled Trees.
What makes you think anyone "got it"? There are no replies.
@@theSato I figured they would have least puzzled out the meanings. Or they just didn't want to write something.
Everyone's a gangster until Miles Edgeworth shows up bringing his updated autopsy report.
I love how Fulbright is just in the audience...(this is very pretty+well made i love the music, graphics, details(Mario Mario)and timing)The audience comments make this extra fun 10/10
It took me a moment to get that dgs reference at the end lmao. Great video as always.
This was awesome. When that Hawaiian objection theme played that's when I really got into this.
The animation and music is awesome dude!
Definitely gives me ace attorney nostalgia and mixing that with sunshine is definitely perfect lol.
I think it's the third time I watch this video, It's FANTASTIC!; not even in my wildest dream I could have ever imagined someone actually doing a video like this...
This is an alternative timeline where the 2 worlds collide and Phoenix Wright and Mario become best buds defending innocent people and putting away the evil people to jail.
This video deserves way more attention, because this was really epic.
Like always, well done!
Love the crowd muttering in the background, and this is a very good what if, plus Mario being peach's bodyguard is pretty much the only real thing Mario got going especially after odyssey lol
This is so well made and manages to capture the feel of something in AA. It’s pretty much my dream of what would happen if Phoenix defended Mario. Nice job!
Mario saying "Open Salami" at the end got me good.
“My name is Phoenix Wright, and this is my client, Mario Mario.”
I enjoy the continuity that in all instances of Mario's full name, he is titled Mario Mario. This is a true fact confirmed by Mario himself.
That was amazing, i don't have the words to describe how good this animation was, good job man!
DAMN THAT COURTROOM THO. I guess this took a good amount of time.

"Your great grandfather would have been proud"
*Dat reference to the Great Ace Attorney game*
This inspired me to write a fake Smash Trailer based after these events where the true culprit (Bowser Jr) is discovered. Idk when I'll write it but I'd love to give it a shot!
Friend: what's your favorite case in Phoenix wright?
Me: It's complicated.
“your great grandfather would be proud of you” oh..... that made me emotional
"I hate these lawyers. Should I make a country about it?" That one also hurt xD
This is very amazing well done! And I love the Ace Attorney and Ghost Trick themes in SMS style in the background alot!
Am i the only one who thinks Mario looks absolutely adorable at the end
Like he looks so goddamn innocent and confused it's so cute
THIS IS AMAZING!!! I love it!!! Also the OST is 💗💗💗
Excellent work as always, iKiwed! But what **is** the prosecutor's name? An eternal question.
Anyway, Mario's innocent.
Man Imagine a fan game where we play Phoenix with him travelling across franchises to defend their heroes. That would be fun.
Of course it wasn't Mario. The imposter was blue. The people on that island are colorblind. You did a good job Phoenix
