its a good map but i really hope they dont give the sandstone look to all maps and really fuck up rag

Missing those green lands of old center
I prefer it this way. Without the nostalgia of the center I really think this is mostly improvements. The new volcanic biome is distinct from any other volcanic biome. They’ve made the center its own unique experience instead of a worse ragnarok. The boss arena change kinda sucks though.
And they really killed the underground areas.

The sandstone looks terrible on a map that's supposed to be lush ( or cold like the huge waterfall).
The details for the river are nice though
I hate how bright everything is, looks like scorched earth but with trees lol
I don’t like the new volcano biome, I was most excited about seeing it and now I’m disappointed.
Overall I like the map though.
The rivers are a massive improvement!

I dont think its really that bad but i get what you mean its just same like other jungles but with lava
Batman island, volcano island and half vulcanic island were so iconic for The Center and now there are all gone. I'm ok with skull island, it is cool and fit to the map more than huge Batman head (it could be also a cool island in Atlas) but vulcano area was better in old The Center map in ARK: SE
They could have made vulcano island extremly cool but no they choose for the typical ASA rock island with a tiny bit off lava
How they made new vulcano islad - they coppied from other islands and add some lava. Now this island is almost the same like the rest on the map :(
really disappointed with how they covered the lava islands with grass and that stupid sandstone instead of keeping some of it dark and black, like ashes, completely ruined the volcanic look. the rest of the changes are cool though ig
Always hated the center in ASE. The only thing I really miss is the arena, everything else is ok. The lava island could've used a bit more lava, but still better than the old one.
I hate that they took away the magic of the map hope they don't ruin Ragnarok as well with all this sandstone reusing. The map had some amazing black rocks and giant plains but now it's all the same color pallete anywhere u go
And it's not even so hard to just change rocks color but no, all the maps now have yellow rocks. I was ok with this for The Island, it fit well for Scorched Earth but I expected more gray rocks for The Center. Hope for next maps they will change it. I don't want all the maps to look the same.
Nooo the lava island was so iconic and different! All black with those crispy trees and stuff ahh. They could have added more stuff to it not change it completely to a jungle with lava....
The volcano is piss yellow now. Also RIP Half-Burnt island

They added more textured stuff, and detailed stuff, but they took a million steps back when it came to colors. Everything in Asa is so fucking bland and beige. Where’s the colors? The grass is hideous, the rocks are hideous, they definitely screwed this.

Every rock formation appears identical across the entire map which is a bit boring
I rlly like the new lava island, the old one felt oud of place and not connected to the map. I also love that skull island is an actual skull now.
It would be ok if the rocks were covered with volcanic ash and at least some of the trees withered or burned.
Honestly. I love the new changes they added to the sender. I haven't seen much but I was playing in. Not much is happened yet but I have built a small base and once then I will travel to the world and see what they added. And honestly I'm looking forward to the sender. Honestly I am a little worried about it. What if it crashes my game? Because honestly I played it on the Xbox One years ago. I haven't played it on the xbox one s And honestly I haven't played the sender in a long time. But either way. I am looking forward to Playing this map again
I like the changes so it has a different feel to it.

Gotta say, this "remaster" of the Center, the Pyromane literally just being a shadowmane reskin, the WTF of an arena remake and ofc the disastrous launch itself has been...cow shit.
As an OG Center Enjoyer, Im not even gonna bother with any of this and am gonna stay on Island for now.

Not to mention all the terrain looking like sandstone no matter where you are at. I heard that WC outsourced development of the unofficial maps to another team ; with the way the Center looks....I dread to see Rag/Val, etc. :I

Adding fresh new islands, but outside the map border / Completely killing the underwater abyssal biome that used to run through the entirety of the map, underneath the main land masses / Making the "abyss" part no longer apply with how many fucking algae / luminescent plants you threw down there / Caves are too luscious now / Skull island has waaaaaaaay too much vegetation and I hate the way it looks.. The ASE version looked rougher and more jagged, which made it look more natural / Lava island used to be barren and dangerous, now it's just like everywhere else -- Full of vegetation -- Which makes no fucking sense given how it was in ASE / You guys said you brought in the original map creator to help the upgrade but it seems to me like you guys just sat him in the corner and forced him to watch as you obliterated his map! Fuck you guys

with all these changes We did not benefit we still can't play with good optimisation for graphic lmao.
I think that the center has more bad things than right things. But it is still an enjoyable map.
I understand that it sucks they changed some things like the volcano island and skull island and the boss arena, let’s just be happy they didn’t completely overhaul the look of the center as it could have been much worse and I understand many are upset, but regardless of some of these changes the map looks gorgeous and the new creatures are awesome
But they *did* overhaul the look. OG Center was lush and verdant and wet. The tone has been completely changed to match the Island, which makes Center lose its uniqueness.
They made the centre mid somehow
I. Dont. Like. This. Some islands with this sandstone texture wouldve been okay but now its just more textures EVERYWHERE to render in... ahoy crashes!
