It's nice to see the big thirst and their entourage back on the channel! And against their traditional foes in the Tau! At least against the Daemons the Tau won't feel the lack of Ap so much 😅
The buffeting winds tugged at Shas'O Vior'la Shovah Kais Mont'yr as he bounded over the corroded piping which Criss-crossed the blasted and totured landscape like scars. The heavy rain rang off the hollow metal, and the valley floor echoed with the crash of thunder as lightning fractured the bruised and tumultuous sky. Farsight landed in a splatter of mud and looked up, focusing on the white grey granite slopes of the valley wall. He felt a tug in the core of his being. _This was it. The power he saught was here. With it, he could topple the Aun._ Farsight tightened his grip on the Dawnblade. No. It had never been about that. That was not a battle to be won through conquest. _But with the power here, he could show the people of the empire the way. Bring them under his fold. Steal support out from under the ethereals..._ Farsight growled. Enough. No more lies, honeyed words, or promises of false power. Never again. He diverted power to the Runic talisman mounted on his gauntlet. The whispered promises scattered to the blustering winds. That was why he was here, on this planet; to learn. To observe. To understand Mont'Dor and their ways. He glanced at the names etched into the inside of his shield generator. To ensure that their was never a repeat of Athras Moloch. His jaw clenched at the shame. He took stock of the cadre, the Devilfishes dropping their contingent before withdrawing to their designated evac points. His warriors fanned out and took up their prearranged positions. Before them, the valley floor stretched, impossibly far. With every flash of lightning offering glimpses of another world superimposed upon the one Farsight knew to be true. He caught flashes of a lush jungle filled with brightly coloured flowers and ripe fruits, shimmereing silver spires jutting from the canopy. Lithe and sinuous figures could be seen amoungst the trees, dancing in between the boughs with beguiling grace. With every peal of thunder and blinding flash of light the figures became more real, more solid. Farsight watched impassively as nightmares made themselves manifest. All within his predictions. Abruptly, the figures froze in place, sleek bodies statuesque in the gloom, rain hammering bare flesh, heads bowed in supplication as a figure emerged in a thunderclap. It was monstrously tall and beautiful. It too danced into reality, with a grace that belied it's stature and, with it's arrival, the troupe surged forward with choreographed motion. Farsight took all this in, bound into cover, and prepared to collect data.
Ah thanks! So the recipe is using Vallejo's metallic purple for the airbrush with some streaking grime, largely cleaned off, and then an oil wash (black and starship filth) to help it pop. To do the eye glow you do the areas grey, the focal point with a spot of white and then a very gentle drybrush with the white. After that a fluro green from Vallejo. Hope that helps 😊
Can the Big Thirst corrupt that objective if Farsight is still sitting on it? Seems like the presence of an enemy model would immediately "unsticky" it. Also, Pathfinders have 4+ saves now, makes me so happy although slightly confused given their lack of anything beyond light armor.
Yes, this had me significantly triggered. Monarch of the Hunt is an absolutely huge ability for Shalaxi, allowing it to one-shot almost any vehicle, character or monster (titanic units being the major exception) in the game on an average roll. Shalaxi should have stomped Farsight, then poured through into the backline for signficant carnage. The results wouldn't even have been close.
