I hear you about people and their comments. The guy behind me in the supermarket this weekend asked me if I was sure I had enough food in my cart. I spent $800. I said in return. No actually this will only get us through 3 or 4 days since I have 14 kids. In reality I only go shopping once a month but it was none of his business and the look on his face when I responded was priceless.

What a good comeback! Love it ! I hate when the clerks at stores especially Walmart it seems make comments on my purchases. I can go from a good mood to being not a happy camper when they do that!

My favorite thing I’ve heard to say as a response to someone that says something rude or inappropriate is, “That’s an interesting thing to say out loud.” It forces them to think about what they said and take ownership.

I love your response. Everything I go to Dollar Tree people have to wait. I'm there to save just like them. If you don't like it to bad. You don't go to those stores if your in a rush. I love watching your hauls.
Also people give me major anxiety & its probably why I rarely leave my house anymore because one wrong word & I'm not really sure what the hell I might say or do! I ain't got no time to put up with no mess ya know what I'm saying!! God bless you for risking it for us out there so you can show us everything you bought!!

Some cashiers are the worst when food shopping … asking all the questions … “do you like this”. No. I just buy food I hate …. And then you get the cashiers that want to poke and prod every single item you put on the conveyor belt. 🥖🥐🥚🥞🧇🥬🍅🥫🍊🥕🧀
I always am approached by people when shopping. I talk back to them because I am pretty sure the majority of them are lonely and are alone. It never hurts to be gen erous with a few minutes of your time. Especially to the elderly.
I’ve also gotten similar comments from cashiers in Dollar Tree as I’m unloading my cart! Grrrrr! 🛒

When you go to peel that which off the sign, put it in a 175 or 200° oven for about 7 minutes to warm up the glue. I believe that will help it come off easier. I have tried that before and it worked for me.

Sorry you're homesick and since I'm in Texas I'll be happy to give you a report.
It's been hot since you left, pretty much the same as when you were here. We also haven't had any rain, unlike the hurricane you recently had. 😳
It was supposed to start raining last night but so far I haven't seen a drop. But the temperature did drop into the 60's overnight. Today it reached 71°, which is kind of like a cold front for us. 😚
It actually feels like fall finally! But you know it won't last.
I don't know if that helps but I'm here for you whenever you want to hear about Texas! 😋
I've also had a cart full of merchandise at DT. And I've also been stuck behind someone who has had a fuller cart. Which is usually when they call for another checker. But I've never had a rude person make a comment about how much merchandise I have. And you handled your situation nicely! 😘
If you ever see this guy again you should tell him you're just not interested. 😉

The first year we moved out of state from MI funny enough to Dallas was really hard that first holiday. It did get better
I get looks and stares. Because when I go in to shop I normally spend $30 plus. I live in a small town. Lol 😆 you just keep going. My 3 older granddaughters love the craft stuff we get in there. Most of my spending is on them. Loved the haul.

I remember one time I was at a grocery store, and the bagger said, "boy you sure are buying a lot of food, people really just buy nonsense stuff" I was feeding a family of 4 for 6 days, and when there are certain non perishable items on sale, i buy extra. I thought it was way out of line and it really put me in a bad mood for the day.

So cute. I love the pop up book and Mario card. You have a lot of great ideas that definitely bring back good memories of when I was growing up. I never done a junk journal but im liking the idea because I'm always collecting things and its a more controlled way of collecting little mementos or pieces of inspiration that aren't just 1 dimensional. I'm thinking it could be a good outlet for myself because its an imperfect science that you can't really get wrong. Because I get too caught up in the details and it really stunts my creative growth.
Honestly, DT should open a new lane for people who buy a full cart to keep the line going. I think I saw our local DT do that sometimes.

I had a guy tell me that the Red Bulls I was buying was terrible for me and would eventually kill me. I said thanks, there for my husband. He said well same goes for him. Oh I’m so happy I was recommended your channel!!! When I see people that have a lot of purchases I really never think anything except that they’re spending a lot of money maybe but I’d never say anything out loud because it’s none of my business but they maybe shopping once a month, buying for a special event, helping others or doing a video like you are doing that help people save money, learn to diy, etc…I mean the reasons are endless for their purchases ALL of which have nothing to do with me…it’s a shame that some people think that’s it’s ok to just speak what comes to mind out loud. She just showed up at a friend of mine's house and she couldn't keep her, so I adopted her and she gets along so well with all my other chickens. I just love them! If you don't own one you may want to invest in a hot air gun to soften the glue for easier removal. I love mine. Hope you are successful removing the decal. Next time someone approaches you, you might try saying, "Are you talking to me? And repeat it again and again. It works here in NY :))
I absolutely love plaid I think it screams Christmas. Such cute finds I have some really thin wood that is this big crate I'm thinking of cutting out some things like the tags and things to make for Christmas signs etc.

Yeah, when you already feel self conscious because you have so much and hold up the line...and then someone has to comment on it, blah! I found a picture book yesterday that I know you will love at Dollar Tree, it was a collection of drawings/paintings I believe, I am at work and don't have it on me to say the title but I definitely thought junk journal.
