This looks almost exactly how my first game on this map went. I committed way too many tanks to my weak side and they got trapped there unable to participate in the battle.
I think the recon was a blunder when the 1b infantry went for a back-cap. It kinda gives away FTA where P1 can start piling tanks from his 2b side, forcing a reaction from Olaf (maybe even an over commitment similar to what max did in this game). I also recall a \vod of VOA saying specifically that building a tank on 1b side is very losing especially for the aggressive CO.
Something I've noticed with this map is a lot of high level players overvalue the cities in the center. Olaf is only strong on this map if Max allows the game to turn into a stall in the center. If Max pushes for the weak com tower (make sure to bring anti air), Olaf can't really stop it and doesn't get his super from a brawl there. As long as you haven't committed a lot of funds to your weak side, there's little risk of a pincer strike. At best, Olaf can build neotanks or something on his weak side, but that has all the same problems but worse.
hmm what happens if day 6 you build your tank on your 2b and then day 7 recon sits on (04 , 03) in an attempt to feint for tower control, forcing a big 1b response from olaf and then crushing center?
I think that is the correct move, I think the key thing to take away from the match is syncing up a plan that works with all your units. Building a recon and then a tank on different fronts didn't make too much sense and if I was able to force double tank on the weak side from olaf I could have shifted to a much stronger position in the center
@@tordreadsempire that said, even with your tank built on 1b recon can still sit on (04 , 03) for 1 turn and it doesn't really have good alternatives imo
Im stealing Jokas build 4 this map. Excellent video as always.
Great review.
I would love to see more standard videos.

Building neo in the 1b seems like a good way to lose, you want to do big air if they overcommit there, bomber, maybe even stealth

This room is empty, you need to build infantries and a recon, or you will be captured
