That was a nice outing. They may not have been big but it was fun to watch. I've often thought about learning to fly fish. Thanks for explaining your bait choice.
Do you think that the reforestation of the banks of the Grand could help pres3rve the coolness of the river further downstream, and possibly extend the trout habitat?
Great Video - I live in Oakville and am looking to get into some fly fishing for next season. Have you by chance ever tried sixteen mile creek or the credit river?
Hey Carl - whereabouts were you? I am from Newfoundland, grew up fly fishing for Atlantic Salmon. I now live in Guelph, and have yet to attempt / learn to fish for browns. Great video.
Great video thank you, I have a question.. you said it was fly fishing only, are there signs or something posted near by the area stating this? I don't see fly fishing only in the regulations. Just artificial lures and single barbless hook. Thanks! :)
I like how you showed the fly patterns that you used. Very helpful
Great video. I’m brand new to fly fishing and it’s nice to see your process and what you’re using. Lots of great info. Thanks!

Its possible, if the water is cool enough those Browns will live there

Thanks, and good luck!!

I am near London, so I don't get that way too often, you are lucky to be that close as its a great fishery
Nice vid as always 👊
Thanks, I need to get the fly rod out more often

Yes thats my bad, I just think of it as fly fishing only, but that is not the case it is single barbless, doesnt have to be a fly
@@CarlOutside No worries I just got worried i couldn't fish there! Thanks again, and appreciate the feedback :)
Were you catching these in July? Great content
Thanks-you ..This was late June
Hi can you please say where exactly this is? I usually fish in grand river in the trestle area and I'm looking for new sports in the river.
Lots of good well marked access points along the river between Fergus and Elora and they all have fish. I wasn't too far from the trestle
@@CarlOutside thanks
isnt it catch and release tho?
Most sections are catch and release, and you must use single barbless hooks
@CarlOutside says who
@@redsresearch its all in the regulations. The upper sections around Fergus and Elora, are single barbless with some exceptions around some bridges
@@CarlOutside where abouts can you keep them?
