Everyone seems to either like their old music or their new but tbh I like it all like fall out boy is amazing no matter if it's the new or old to me it all sounds pretty good
same but I love them so much they could make an album of just Pete Wentz screaming and I would love it with all my heart. like I'm 99.9% fob and 0.1% human
does anyone else hate that feeling of asking someone if they like fall out boy, and their like "yeah!" and then you ask them what their favourite song is and their like "Centuries" seriously I love centuries but this is the sort of fall out boy music that should come to mind, not their mainstream songs. in my personal opinion (key word- opinion), their mainstream songs aren't their best ones. it songs like 27 that are true fall out boy and much as I love all of their albums, I want this fall out boy to show through a little more in their next album.
Ellie Bretherton-Upton I was playing town of salem (aweaome game btw) but there was someone called light em up, and people noticed and started taliking about fall out boy. me: folie a deux is better tho them: no, fall out boy is better. like, no. (I also whenever I'm sk leave lyrics in the death notes but nobody ever realises except once and that person already knew i was sk)
This song has so much meaning, it absolutely blows me away. Everything about this song is incredible and heartfelt and wonderful. It's powerful, angry, deep, and astounding.
It frustrates me so much to see people say that FOB is shit now or something like that. Why? Because they don't sound just like this anymore? It's obvious that they don't and this stuff was amazing. However, bands need to switch up their sound to stay relevant. If they still made stuff like this do you think it would get a lot of radio play or anything? Probably not, as much as I hate to admit it. Obviously, everyone has an opinion and some prefer their old sound, which is fine.. but keep that in perspective. Not that they need tons of mainstream radio play, I'm sure their fans from the start, if they were real fans, would support them in everything. Idk, I'm a die hard fan of FOB, so I love EVERYTHING they make. I just think it all sounds amazing. The talent in that band is insane even if it is a little more pop-y sounding. Just saw them live for the 3rd time Thursday night and believe me.. they rock out just as hard as they did before. So what if they have more of a pop vibe now? Like I said, gotta switch it up to stay relevant.. FOB forever
Victoria Hostler If anyone's listened to the recent FoB album Save Rock and Roll, they wouldn't be saying such blatant bullshit. Tracks like "The Phoenix" and "Death Valley" heavily carry FoB's old sound spirit in them. They've evolved as a band, sure, but if they hadn't, then people would be complaining that they were stagnant and they wouldn't still be relevant. People will always find something to complain about. lol
+Victoria Hostler We have a right to dislike some of their new music. If it was a requirement that fans have to like everything they do, we wouldn't be a fandom, we'd be a cult. Don't get me wrong, I love FOB and I do like their new music, just not nearly as much as their pre-hiatus stuff.
+ActuallyIan oh me too, by far! I understand that their old stuff is favored, I was just referring to the ones who used to be fans, but now they completely hate on them just because their sound is different.. Idk like I said, I love everything lol but I do agree that their old stuff was better. I find myself listening to it a lot more than the new.
If home is where the heart is Then we're all just fucked I can't remember, I can't remember these are possibly the best opening lines to anything ever.
THIS is Fall Out Boy. Folie a Deux is the exemplification of what Fall Out Boy is - was - all about. Their meanings and themes were hidden in creatively convoluted, original, and unique lyrics, buried for only the most determined listeners to discover. But now, with their newest album, they've reunited to spill out the same generic, repetitive music that almost every other band in this musical generation has turned to. I was so excited when I heard Fall Out Boy was getting back together, only to find that they had abandoned all that their music represented. I wonder when the real Fall Out Boy will get off hiatus.
lol I suppose I have to respond with something equally douchey. Seriously dude, you can't hear what I sound like because we're typing on the internet bro
They were just getting back on their feet; all of their musical projects failed during hiatus. They needed some cash. By the sound of Pax Am Days, they're doing fine.
I am... So glad... That someone else understands this. It saddens me so much that when a majority of people hear "Fall Out Boy," all they think of is that last album. Even their first few songs as an unexperienced group are a million times better than Save Rock and Roll, as they might not have had the most perfect sound, but it was truly THEIR sound. Refreshing originality that you hardly see anymore. The same is true for all albums up until Folie a Deux, considering that they grew as a group and changed their sound, but you would hear one of their songs for the first time and know who made it, lol. First time I heard a song from Save R&R I said - ver batim - "Why does this guy sound like Patrick Stump?"
seriously? sweet, I'm going to see them May 5th, first of their concerts. And I'm a huge fan.. i cried when the tickets arrived at my house yesterday x.x.
Am I the only one who adores the way Patrick says the word "fuck" when he sings? It's so rare to hear him swear in music. Idk. It sounds neat. ^_^ Absolutely LOVE this song! :)
+Tony Wiser it actually is about Pete.. When he turned twenty eight the whole band called eachother saying that they did it, that they made him survive.
@drefeno it is a tribute to kurt cobain who died at 27. its basically about using drugs to deal with your problems - one of his parents from the first line, anchors are a metaphor for being emotionally tied vs. the 'free' feeling of a high, shooting sunshine = heroin to feel happy, doing lines of dust and sweat = doing cocaine to feel like himself despite recognising that its not that great. chasing the direction you went = a lost love
@drefeno also, the good times getting gone etc describes 'chasing the purple dragon', the bottled star and planets aligning is how his love has the potential to be great but only under certain radom (because of his drug use) conditions. the black hole friends = how some people suck happiness from his life because they have lost their 'sparkle' probably through excessive drug use
PLEASE COME BACK FOB! I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN TO SEE U IN CONCERT BECAUSE O WAS TO LITTLE! AND NOW WHEN I LISTEN TO YOUR SONGS IT MAKES ME SAD BECAUSE I NO THAT I WIOO NEVER B ABLE TO C U! :'(
How so? Its about the 27 club. He was scared and personally believed he would die at 27 just like many other talented people do. (Kurt, Amy Whinehouse etc)
O: Patrick said a swear. But Patrick can't do bad things. "His body's made up of kittens, Saturdays, 70 degree weather, first kisses and butterflies" XD i love those boys. love this song.
ITS CALLED "27" BECAUSE OF THE 27 CLUB BECAUSE ALL YOU "PEOPLE" IN THE COMMENTS ARE CONFUSED!!! And if you don't know what the 27 Club is, it's a group of musicians who died at the age of 27 like Amy Winehouse and Jim Morrison.
Thank all the goodness in the world that there just taking a break. I'm a psycho because i heard they were breaking up! I Went on the computer and researched immedeatly!!
A lot of our rockstars here did drugs and died at 27. The lyrics are referring to drugs in semi-abstract ways and the title, 27, is just in case the listener didn't get it :)
"I've got a lot of friends who are stars but some are just black holes."
THIS.
Essa é muito boa = D
+Pablo Almeida yES
this is such an underrated song. its one of my favorites, probably my favorite off of folie
My favorite of all time

Everyone seems to either like their old music or their new but tbh I like it all like fall out boy is amazing no matter if it's the new or old to me it all sounds pretty good

+Joe Trohman me
yessss all their music is so good anyway
ya, i will always love them
does anyone else hate that feeling of asking someone if they like fall out boy, and their like "yeah!" and then you ask them what their favourite song is and their like "Centuries"
seriously I love centuries but this is the sort of fall out boy music that should come to mind, not their mainstream songs.
in my personal opinion (key word- opinion), their mainstream songs aren't their best ones. it songs like 27 that are true fall out boy and much as I love all of their albums, I want this fall out boy to show through a little more in their next album.
27 is one of their underrated songs, and so is Chicago is So Two Years Ago.
BeadedMarshmallows they are literally my favourite songs I agree with you *high fives*
I don't know I think sugar is a very defining song of fall out boy
Ellie Bretherton-Upton I was playing town of salem (aweaome game btw) but there was someone called light em up, and people noticed and started taliking about fall out boy.
me: folie a deux is better tho
them: no, fall out boy is better.
like, no.
(I also whenever I'm sk leave lyrics in the death notes but nobody ever realises except once and that person already knew i was sk)
Alex The Steampunk Dragon fake fans make me laugh sometimes
This song has so much meaning, it absolutely blows me away. Everything about this song is incredible and heartfelt and wonderful. It's powerful, angry, deep, and astounding.
This song, in my opinion, has one of my all time favorite guitar riffs, and it's their best song too.
This is such an emotional song and the guitar solo is so amazing it kills me. Everything about this song is just perfect.
This and West Coast Smoker are my two favorite tracks from this record.
this is one of my favorites too except tied with w.a.m.s and headfirst slide into cooperstown
yasssss

***** Exactly! I suppose if there was nothing to complain about, people would get too bored lol.

Victoria Hostler Idk, Immortals and Uma Thurman are fantastic songs, imo. Especially the latter, I could listen to that song all day. haha
If home is where the heart is
Then we're all just fucked
I can't remember, I can't remember
these are possibly the best opening lines to anything ever.
It's better to burn out than to fade away...
HOW AM I JUST GETTING INTO FALL OUT BOY?! WTF THIS SHIT IS AMAZING!
THIS is Fall Out Boy. Folie a Deux is the exemplification of what Fall Out Boy is - was - all about. lol I suppose I have to respond with something equally douchey. Seriously dude, you can't hear what I sound like because we're typing on the internet bro

Hey guys 20 Dollar Nosebleed + 7 Minutes in Heaven = 27. Eh. No. Guess not
+never read the comments Nope, it's because of the 27 Club idiots. Pete Ham is a musician who died at the age of 27, 362 days.
+Tony Wiser it actually is about Pete.. When he turned twenty eight the whole band called eachother saying that they did it, that they made him survive.
I performed this live to pass my music GCSE.
Guitar + Vocals. One of the best experiences of my life :D
That guitar solo 😍

In my opinion, this is one of the best songs on the album just because of the lyrics. =]
This song is wonderful.
this ALBUM doesnt receive half the credit it deserves.
I wonder if this song has a relation the 'the 27 club'
It's actually what the song is about
then I was right :)) it makes sense because the album is apparently about the main stream media and kurt cobain, etc are still quite a hot topic
shut up! i thought the 27 club thing was a fairly recent theory. Damn.
@@garden2571 yes. yes he is.

This song is so relatable.
How so? Its about the 27 club. He was scared and personally believed he would die at 27 just like many other talented people do. (Kurt, Amy Whinehouse etc)
Very underrated.

if home is where the heart is, then we'll all be fucked.
@OculiUbique One of my favorite lines is "and I want it so bad I'd shoot the sun shine into my veins" I just had to say that
A lot of our rockstars here did drugs and died at 27. The lyrics are referring to drugs in semi-abstract ways and the title, 27, is just in case the listener didn't get it :)
