I agree. I thought it was hilarious that he said please after he asked her. I follow both of them on Instagram. she has talked about this experience a couple of times. She even mentioned in no specific terms that she went from being a raging shield maiden to overwhelmed and crying in no time at all.
Cannon Doll X Congratulations on your engagement! Looking at some of your cosplay stuff I saw one of your pictures of you cosplaying Wonder woman in the godkiller episode of man at arms. It's awesome that you and Matt get to work together like that now and again!
I'm not a big fan of having stuff like that on the actual blade, but if it were in the handle, like with the....fury song?, I'm alright with that. That being said, if sometime in the future, they found a cool way of making the crucible from the 2016 DOOM game, that'd be something I'd like to see glowing.
Yo guys...Make your own blade. Give it your own touches! You've been catering to us, and you've made some cool swords for us! Now I think it should be your turn!
Never thought of this before, this whole time they've been listening to us and have been exact replicas of weapons we liked. Now I wanna see how they're going to make their own custom weapon for a change :O
Probably THE best Episode you produced so far. You not only crafted a beautiful, historically accurate, not overly fancy but practical and effective weapon, you also added a very personal and important moment to this episode. Congratulations to you and your fiancée, may your relationship be as durable as the steel of this axe.
honestly considering the fact that we get to know a bit more about man at arms i agree but if youre talking about the weapon itself i have to disagree ruclips.net/video/wBxblzxIXK4/видео.html
As he told of bold battles and gold he had made When he met the shield maiden Matilda who said... “Oh you talk and you lie and you drink all our mead! Now I think it’s high time that you lie down bleed!” As the brave lass Matilda charged in with zeal! And the braggart named Ragnar was boastful no moooooree... When his ugly red head rolled around on the floor!
Jamie Kimbrelk i would love to see them make any kind of reverse blade really but that one would definitely be a very interesting start i second this option just to see if they can do it .... make the reversed edge katana from rurouni kenshin show us how ilya does this
Considering they've done other katana shaped projects before, I think that the added challenge of the reverse blade while still staying true to most of the original techniques would more than make up for its simple design.
That was a super WICKED REFORGE Of Ragnar's Axe! That was such a special an AWESOME Engagement moment in time and Congratulations. Thank you for sharing this wonderful personal moment with all of us. Wishing you All the very BEST! Peace, Joy, & lots of Love! Take care, keep on doing what you love doing, and Happy Holidays. Can you REFORGE a better Conan Sword, of course you can. Let's do this. lol :P :D (edit: Thank you once again for all the creative talented AWE ME Reforged videos.) Back to more videos :P
Someone did it and type the title "forging damascus viking sword" from part 1 to 4. I think the blacksmith was a dane, i can't spell his channel's name in youtube. Watch it and you will be amazed because even other metal workers are also commenting on videos and really fascinated his professionalism, it was really a FINE craftmanship. This ragnar's axe is also good but you will watch in awe to that guy forging the damascus viking sword based on book. with him during the forging.
Fantastic, I just bought one of these yesterday. Since I retired from police work after 28 years, now find collecting all kinds of weapons and firearms a passion I can get into and enjoy very much. Thanks for the show I really enjoyed it and also subscribed!!! Thanks, Nick in NY.
I really had some shivers when you told us about your plan Matt, it was incredibly lovely to see that and to have you decide to share it with us. All the luck on this earth and my sincerest congratulations!
This really puts into perspective just how many blacksmiths there must have been in medieval/ancient times, like just imagine how many people and how long it would take to fit out 1 whole roman legion, let alone 15.....
Congratulations! You guys are all an inspiration. I have an auto immune disease that affects my nervous system, essentially makes me weak and shakey. Thanks to you guys, I get out and forge. Sometimes I can't swing my hammer great but I keep swinging.
Dude, you're a badass! I know what it's like to have health issues that make it difficult to do things that I like to do, so keep smithing and I'm sure it'll turn out great!
Hello. Beautiful work. One thing I have to reproach. The head of the Viking ax slid on the handle from behind. That is why the handle extends towards the head. The weapon was also used as a hook to pull down the shield walls. Only in this way the warhead could not slide off the handle when pulling.
Amazing. I collect hand forged katana and have many on display. My ancestors were Vikings and my son is in love with watching Ragnar Vikings and even asked if he could study Viking history at school in history. I am buying him a very rough replica of what you guys made an AMAZING replica of.. Great video and also congratulations to the engagement of marriage 👍👍❤❤👍👍
One could for replication purposes use laboratory-created gemstones and false gold. They obviously aren't going to be forging meteorites, nor does brightsteel exist in the real world, but they could use a type of steel known for taking a particular shine, and use bluing to get the appropriate color.
As much as I'd like to see that a fan of the Inheritance Cycle myself, there are several reasons why they probably won't make Brisingr. There are almost no canonical reference pictures to work from and the series isn't nearly as popular nor as topical as anything else you've seen on this channel. It's like asking them to make a Valkyrur Lance from Valkyria Chronicles. Do you recognize that weapon? Even if you do, very very few other people do. And let's be honest, without the fire, Brisingr is really just a regular blue sword.
I love this so much. Brilliant video and fantastic build! Vikings is one of my favourite shows and I have a particular fondness for axes and swords. If anybody is interested, I have a video of myself making a tiny Viking axe out of brass, it was inspired by Ragnar’s axe (although not an exact model) and I was extremely happy with the final product and video. Sounds sketchy, as MANY people draw the absolute shittiest of possible sword designs somehow.
