Great Facts and revelations about my fav Wine-Region for Chardonnay. It's what made me fall in love with the Chardonnay Variety in the 80's and I've been a fan ever since. A nice lemony Chablis, cold as can be, in the Summer is Bliss! :-)
We all want a friend like Alex to be sending us beautiful wine right. You asked what what I drink out of with the three poor options they left you to drink wine out of at your beautiful vacation villa. The one all the way to my left that is not colored. I love a fabulous Chardonnay/Chablis wine with those wonderful green apple notes as you described. Pistachio ice cream and olive oil how interesting I have to try
Really do try it Jeff! i would be interested to hear what a man of your distinguished palate makes of it! Don't forget the coarse sea salt though. It really brings everything together! Cheers!
I would love to drink more chablis but the wife enjoys fruitier and sweeter whites and avoids the higher acid wines. The only exception to that is a high acid albarino. Now I will have to put some evoo and sea salt on my ice cream and see what that does. Enjoy!
😄😄😄 Try Greek Moschofilero! It’s floral and fruity and aromatic, but unlike e.g. Gewürztraminer, it is also high acid. So it might keep both of you happy! And yes, honestly, pistachio ice cream with salt and olive oil. It’s mad! But it works! Cheers! 🥂🥂🥂
